I'm not bashing Kirk Hinrich's abilites, but I don't understand why Wash is willing to absorb his contract, cut waaaaaaaay into their own freed up space (which they traded Caron Butler, Brendon Haywood and Antawn Jamison to acquire), and allow Chicago to easily free up enough space for two max free agents and just get the 17th pick in what's widely considered a miserable draft class.
Kirk Hinrich is a player/contract you consider taking on in you're a serious contender. Not a lottery bound team, who could potentially have signed a max free agent.
