Where is Scal when you need him?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
some of you people are way too optimistic. the 2008 game 5 should not even come into conversation. perkins is gone and the team is two years older. fatigue comes into play AND we don't have home court advantage. oh yea, and it's not game 5, btw. calm down, fellas. sure, we can make it close but this game will not be won because they don't want it except for pierce.

+1000. There is no comparison between this game and that game.

My apologies.
If there's anything I've learned from being on this board this season, is to always quit on your team and give up any type of hope.

bryant is the phoniest player in the nba. 'nuff said.

Agreed.

.

There is no comparison between that game and this one. The Celtics do not have their starting center and the backup, who can't play more than 20 minutes a game, has three fouls. This one is over.

I'll say the same thing to you I said in that game thread, but more politely:  If you believe it's over, why not leave the thread?  If you don't, why say it?

To be a fly in the locker-room right now.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

The fact that the C's have to have Shelden Williams in the game is enough to make me cry.

Yeah, Shelden is usually either a really good sign or a really bad sign.

Him in there isn't making us lose anything, at least he ran the floor.

I can't believe the Celtics can play like this, they are pro-athletes aren't they? They do know that they can't just show up and win a championship game right?

C'on C's!!! Turn around and play like your life depends on it!
Anything is possible!!!

effort is unacceptable for a game that could win you the nba title.

perk's injury looks really bad. my guess is he blew his knee out

Ok so game 4 in 2008 we were down 18 at halftime. I know, I know different team but it's the same defense...just have to get stops and run our offense. Also Perk only played 13 minutes in that game, so it's not like it's impossible.

Got to keep the faith.

Time to focus on each play, and each rebound.  Rebounding, defense and transition is the answer (someone else posted this recipe for success earlier, but my reply timed out).  C'mon C's, let's see something special!
