I'm done with Sheed. Could careless what he has to offer. This guy is a lunatic & belongs in a mental institution. Remember this was the same guy who said "Team is good enough to win without me" if he gets suspended. Doc grow a pair and bench this fool. Have fun next to Scal.
Doc did the right thing at the right time.  I just hope Sheed gets the message.  On reading your post however, I cant help but think if Sheed were posting, it would sound like your post.  Rant on,  ;D

Doc did the right thing. Sheed was as meek as a lamb during the successive huddles after he was benched. Hopefully this sends a message to him.

Oh, that's an interesting point.

God, I hate Sheed.

Oh pleasssseeee. So tired of the negative Sheed talk. He has kept us in the game many times and played a great game today. Let him have his technicals; that's just a part of who he is. Cavs coach got thrown out of the game..maybe they should trade him. I am SO GLAD we have Sheed.

Its one thing to jaw with the refs when your down, but we were up 17points. And the way he disrespected Doc was unacceptable. He is the anti-big3. Big3 build a nice foundation of working hard and competing. Its evident with Rondo's improvement. You can't excuse Sheed's behavior. This started with him coming in overweight. Void Sheed and his contract. No one player is bigger than the team.

absolutely agree.

this was a better team with far less weapons last season because the work ethic and team attitude that kevin garnett brought was still intact - even though KG, himself, was injured.

rasheed wallace has contributed to the deterioration of that team work ethic - he has been a lazy, selfish player for his entire career, with only a couple of exceptions.

signing sheed was a bust - plain & simple.

he is NOT a Celtic.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

It will happen. We'll lose a game by one point and during that same game Sheed will have had a dumb T.
Peace through Tyranny

Anybody hear what the deal was between Doc and Rasheed?  He was full on screaming at Doc after he got that tech.  It looked like
Doc Was trying to get him away from the ref.  Rasheed turned on Doc and just exploded.  He's a bit feisty, huh!

If the Celtics win the title, Rasheed will have played a very important role.

The alternate was to not have a backup center. The C's needed to get Rasheed. He's a nut, but he does far more good than harm & even at his age he is still one of the best backup bigs in the NBA.

I'm glad we have him, warts and all. Number 18 is still within reach. Go Celtics!!

Sheed is what Sheed is and the C's knew what they were getting when they signed him.

That said, "Be careful of what you wish for as you might actually get it" seems to be a pretty apt saying right about now.

I don't like Sheed's three point chucking but if he shot it at his career average level I could live with it. I don't like Sheed's technical fouls but it is something you have to live with.

But insubordination is not something any coach should have to live with and I hope their is a team levied fine or suspension for the public insubordination that occurred yesterday. I find that part of what happened very distasteful.

I think this was all planned by Sheed.  He wants an extra day off before the playoffs start.

I was absolutely disgusted by the way Sheed tossed Ray Allen's arm off of him and told him to get off him.

I wanted this guy to fit in so badly and gave him the benefit of the doubt but he just is not a Celtic.  Period.

The alternative was NOT to not have a backup center. The alternative was to get a different backup center.

I'd also argue that he does more harm than good. 189th in the league in PER. I don't know what the corresponding defensive metric is but he's ghastly on that side of the floor.

And who was this different backup center that we were going to get?  It wasn't McDyess, he wanted to go to San Antonio.

Since you're using PER as your arguement, it is worth noting that Rasheed has the best PER of any bigman coming off our bench.  It goes in this order:  Rasheed, Sheldon, Davis, Scalabrine.  Who are you clamoring replacing Rasheed off the bench?  Certainly not Davis.  I would contend that Rasheed's defense is better than Sheldon/Davis/Scal, especially against our main competitions in the playoffs.

Some of you see more good then I do. IF he played to his potential. IF he gave half a heart. And IF he was in good condition I'd put up with "Sheed being Sheed." But he isn't. He hasn't and he won't. And he WILL NOT TURN IT ON in the Playoffs. We've seen the best from him at the start of the season and he'll be downhill from here. And now we're stuck with him even after he gets older and lazier.
Peace through Tyranny
