Bill Walker will continue to play some really good basketball.
And Leon Powe will come back strong. He is, and always has been, a much better player than Big Baby.
As for some other ex-Celtics:
-Gabe Pruitt has always been bad. I used to crack up when I would see people complaining about Pruitt not getting enough PT. I believe he's in the D-League now, but expect him to be out of the league completely in a year or so.
-Eddie House, while I loved him, will probably continue to decline and retire within 2 years.
-Patrick O'Bryant, like Pruit, has always been awful. I'd make a prediction about him but I'm not sure he's still in the league. Again, hilarious how people used to say this guy should get more PT.
Just FYI, if you look at the posting rules you'll see this:
Do not start threads or make posts for the purpose of "calling out" other posters. Retrospective threads are fine, "I told you so" threads aimed at making others look bad are not.
Your statement is off the mark, since I'm neither "calling out other posters" nor making a retrospective thread to say "I told you so". In fact your misunderstanding of what I'm saying is actually the reason why the attitude is getting testy in this thread.
I started this thread to "call it" i.e., make a PREDICTION. I'm not calling *someone* out, I'm calling *it*. All I said is that I'm PREDICTING that Bill Walker will be a good player.
Once that's established, you should realize that all predictions are forward-looking. This isn't an "I told you so" thread... it's far from it. As a prediction, this thread is prospective, not retrospective.
If it was understood I'm making a prediction, then there wouldn't have been comments like "Even Scal has scored 20 points in a game before, that doesn't make him good!"... I'm not arguing that Bill Walker is good BECAUSE he scored over 20 points, I'm arguing that BECAUSE Bill Walker is talented (based on what I saw of him last year) he'll CONTINUE to being a scoring threat in the future, and that his recent play has simply been indicative of that.
If people in here want to argue, argue about the merits of the prediction.
