Hey Jadams, where the bleep are you now?

 ;D
oh, that gets a TP sir.

Right here --- didn't want to ruin the false optimism that you had.  Where are you now that the C's have been outscored by 22 in the second half and collapsed yet again?

And what part of my thread warning about "calling out posters" didn't you comprehend?

That goes for eveyone.

I had that coming. Mainly due to falling asleep halfway through. Woke up about 2 mins ago, to a bigtime deficit :]

Ugh, painful.

Charles Barkley guaranteed the Cavs would come back and win this game.  Very astute observation as it was quite obvious that the Celtics had played their best basketball but couldn't put Cleveland away.

Painfully obvious that this would end up being another blown lead and the C's would get obliterated in the 2nd half again.

The Portland game unfortunately was an aberration.  There was hope that it could be the start of a major turnaround but obviously not.  The C's still can't keep big leads and finish games strong.

Nothing has changed...

You may have noticed, Paul Pierce didn't play tonight.  Last I checked, he's a fairly big part of the team.

But I don't think the outcome of this game will be different even if Pierce played. Based on his performance these days.

Well, Pierce's performance these days is because he's injured.  A healthy Paul Pierce absolutely makes a difference in this game.  It would have resulted in different rotations, and presumably a more rested Rondo.  Also, he could have helped with the offensive stagnation in the second half.

I mean, it turned into a 20 point loss, but this game was basically even at the start of the fourth.  I don't accept that Pierce couldn't have helped.

It would've definitely helped with substitutions and rotations.  Let's also not forget that our backup swingman was battling the flu tonight.

I don't if it would've been enough to win but I'm pretty confident that our fade down the stretch wouldn't have been nearly as significant.

Does anybody blame Doc? because I do! He clearly Fricked up that 3rd quarter from the 7min mark to around 3min. Then he turns around & makes Rondo the 2 gaurd with Nate initiating the Offense feeding Rondo for Jumpers! Somethings wrong with that picture. Rondo shoulda been resting if he wasn't going to be the point gaurd. He needs rest also!

Celtics have just given up on the season-----they know it now...it's over for the Big 3.

maxwell: I've been on the Celtics boards with you for a while now: you are better than that. During that entire run, I didn't question our age once: it all lied on rotations/guys tired.

He played RONDO the ENTIRE 1st half....worn out and trying to PACE himself to start the 3rd----NOPE.

This game required some bold moves with the rotations, instead just flogs his players until they drop and then puts up the white flag. Brilliant.

it's NOT like it's the FIRST time it's happened this season...it's like the 15th time.

I may be laughed out of celticsblog for saying this but i'm fully confident that the celtics, if 90% healthy will have no problems with this Cleveland team in the playoffs.

Can someone explain to me why Doc played the Sheed-Davis front court so much?
We were up by 6 when they entered and down by 6 when the left.

I know. But it's not like it's happened with our main guys actually healthy. I'll start to get in full panic mode if Ray, Rondo, Pierce, and KG are healthy and we pull stuff like this.

Well, I'm of the mindset that Pierce would've helped, myself. Not to take anything away from CLE - they are a great team, but I'd like to see them beat us at full strength.

And as for Doc - does anyone think that maybe he is just experimenting with the rotations?

If I hadn't seen the same sort of bonehead rotation in the playoffs with him, I'd say it was a possibility.

I actually agree with you, but I just hate letting them win on our court to give them any type of confidence moving forward that they can win on our floor.

I'd appreciate if someone could post Doc's postgame comments.  I can't get CSN where I'm at.

We needed a coach today...
