Tony is all energy. 100% at all times. I don't see why people don't like him.

Because he's the model of inconsistency.

He's had an extremely tough career injury wise. His minutes have been inconsistent and thus his stats have also been inconsistent. He gives you 100%. Why complain about that?

Because he's been in the league for 5+ years and still makes the same mistakes a rookie does.  He's not a kid anymore.  He's a veteran.  You should be expected to learn and adapt.

Thats the frustration that a lot of people have.

Great Week for our Celtics...Pierce with the Three Point Contest win..solid All-Star showing from KG, Pierce, and Rondo...pulled out a win against the Kings..beat LA without Kobe (but still a win against our Bitter rivals On The Road)...and now tonight.

And it gets better: Nate brings his kryptonite to our team soon....isn't it funny that Kryptonite is Green ;D?

Just got back from the bar.  I'm not going to pretend that the past two months have been pretty.  And I'm not going to pretend that tonight's win guarantees Number 18.  However, I will take tonight as evidence that this team is not done.  Even without House/Eddie, they toasted a very good Portland team after winning two previous road games, 1 that was on a back to back.

Again, I am not saying that Banner Number 18 is in the bag.  However, I will take a moment to harshly rebuke those who think the C's are done.

I'm not really frustrated anymore.  I expect plenty of mistakes and plenty of hustle points and I usually get both.

He's a charming little player in small doses (preferably as the 10th guy in the rotation).

Good game overall....but remember this is 2 games in a row against teams whose best player is injured and hurt.

Our best players are injured and hurt, too. And when we lost without those guys lots of people were still really upset about the way the Celts were playing.

I agree with jadams on this point: it's not just that the Celts won, but they won by playing excellent defense and keeping their focus when things started to get a little wobbly.  I've said it all year--it's really a discipline and mental toughness thing for this team. When they play right, they're elite.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Good all around game as the Celtics kept up their defensive intensity from start to finish and got a nice blowout win over a good team on the road.

Looks like we are getting back to where we thought this team could be.

Take em one game at a time, and don't get bothered with the losses.

Exactly. I can't believe I actually agree with jadams! lol

Exactly... I'm not expecting him to be a great player or even a starter anymore. I just expect him to be a decent role player who brings tons of energy off the bench. He gets paid decent money for what he brings to the table. He isn't grossly overpaid, so why the continued complaints?

I think KG has looked great last 2 games. Up and down the court quicker and is able to recover a lot quicker when beat off the dribble. Also great at help D at the rim. 3 blocks tonight in 22 minutes.
