No.
If Celtc's have money like Paul Allen's Blazers or Mark Cuban's Mavs Ainge would bring multiple titles to Boston

Yes, very.

We are not going to win it all this year, we will probably even lose to the Lakers without Kobe this year.

We have NO picks, NO cap room, and he has lived this exact situation before and swore he would not make the same mistake Red did with the original Big 3.

This is our last chance at getting a young star...

Next stop... ABYSS!!

At the deadline, perhaps. Although it should be quite clear now that we really don't have any assets to move.

Overall, no. We won a title with the Big 3. We will not win another, and the situation will most assuredly worsen, but we got a title.

TP Bo, exactly my thoughts.

I can't be unhappy with danny that he couldn't find a sucker to trade ray allen and bench trash to for an impact player. I always thought that was unrealistic (though i'd be happy to be wrong if a blockbuster is announced at the deadline)

I'm actually kind of surprised he sold the knicks on house for robinson. I suppose we lucked out that no other contenders really need back up PG help and mikey D loves eddie.

I was talking about this trade deadline. Danny gives us 17th banner... Nobody can argue with that

let's wait until 3pm and then decide whether we like his moves this offseason.  He obvioulsy rolled the dice in a go for it again mode this off season - but nobody knew that KG would be playing this poorly.  Ultimately if he can't figure out a way to get better this season - this season is shot.

What I don't want to happen is to have a PP equivalent star ALONE on this team after the big three have moved on - and for us to be bound to late round mediocrity.  If we are oging to have to hit bottom after KG - then I would rather hit the bottom rather abruptly than drag the descent out over say -- 20+ years again.

I said one championship in his run with KG would have been enough for me to say it was a good deal.  Unfortunatley me expectations changed after the early success - and wonder what could have been.

I'm perfectly happy with Danny.  I thought he put together a great off-season -- and most people agreed at the time -- and he's been active in trade discussions.  The fact that he hasn't been able to trade Ray + scrubs into a young star doesn't surprise me; nobody else has been able to make that type of trade, either.

All the negativity in this town sucks. It sucks, and it stinks, and it sucks. - Rick Pitino

We can't really be mad at Danny. He got us a championship with a team that no one thought could win it (Except us awesome Celtic fans, who knew the second we got KG something special was going to happen)

Last year he could have maybe done something, but injuries really screwed us. We had to play Mikki Moore serious minutes, that alone could sink the titanic.

Now, we just don't have what everyone expected we'd have to play with in terms of trades. All the players he was looking at got traded for significantly better deals, except maybe Caron Butler. He just doesn't have the tools, I don't think.

****,
Abyss,,,,,lol

Rajon Rondo, and Kendrick Perkins were veritable steals.
The Celtic losses have more to do with discipline and drive
rather than talent.  (They led by 10 or more points in most of those games).

You same people cried about Danny and Doc, prior to the 17th Banner.  You also cried about Red Auerbach, after Russell, before the 70's run 72-76.  and before Bird.

The only one you liked was Pitino, until he left.

Trust in Danny, he sees the bigger picture.  The Forest from the trees, while all you complainers see a weeping willow.

People have short memories.  You're acting like he is Chris Wallace.  Danny Ainge and Joe Dumars have been the two best GMs over the last decade.  Danny might even have the edge, with Dumars' horrible off-season last year (CV and Ben Gordon).

People mad that the Celtics didn't make the deadline deals they wanted to see happen shouldn't make them mad at Danny...

Making trades is not a one way street.  The other team has to agree to it as well.  We don't know how hard he was trying to get things done and how other teams may have turned down offer after offer.
