  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I've never been the biggest House fan, but the man could shoot and was big in the finals.

He was a great celtic.

  • Rondo = Good
He'll be missed, but his bad defense and cold streaks won't.

Nate Rob might be a better player than Eddie, but I really doubt he'll be a better Celtic (in terms of attitude etc).

Loved the guy.  Major part of banner 17.  Good luck Eddie!

Hey guys -- I just uploaded this video onto youtube.  It is by far my favorite play House  made as a Celtic: Diving for a loose ball in Game 7 2008 against Cleveland.  Every true Celtic fan remembers it:

I don't get it. I just don't get it.

nate is a better defender than eddie
nate can create his own shot better than eddie
nate is a better ball handler and pg than eddie
nate is a consistent game changer off the bench

the only thing eddie is better than nate is shooting, but relies on others for his scoring, as he cant create his shot.

nate > eddie.

i love eddie's hustle and appreciate what he has done, but if u got the opportunity to upgrade, u do it.
Okay, but I'm not so sure this team needs a big upgrade talent-wise, at least not in this area.  Rondo will be playing 40 minutes a game in the playoffs. That leaves 8 that I think Daniels can cover, while still being able to spend a significant amount of time guarding opposing 2s/3s to give Pierce or Ray a break. The Celtics are not struggling due to lack of offensive firepower off the bench. Part of it is mental, and it part of it is an aging core and bigs that are struggling to rebound.

If you want to light a fire under this team, I don't see how dumping Eddie is going to help matters. He brings a ton of energy to the table every night. Make a small change in the frontcourt, get another star in exchange for Ray, or do nothing at all.

Eddie House - for THREEEEEEE!

The best thing I could say about Eddie House is that every game I am looking over at the sideline hoping he is standing there at the table waiting to come in. Other than possibly KG not one Celtic brought more intensity to this team every second he was on the floor than Eddie.

Nothing against Nate, but I don't want him to go anywhere.

I love Eddie but if he does get dealt for Nate, it is the better for the team.

Hopefully since the deal is still in the works I hope Eddie somehow isn't involved and that there can be a three team deal with the Rockets in which we don't have to give up Eddie and can get back another player in return.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I think this thread is what you would call "premature congratulation"...

I see nothing that says this is a "done" deal quite yet...might want to hold off on the funeral just yet.

is the new

I'll miss Eddie too if he is indeed gone, but Nate provides a sorely needed upgrade.  Wish we could've flipped Ray for Martin too, but at least I won't have to say goodbye to another favorite.

Thanks for everything Eddie, you came as a journeyman but you're leaving as a champion and a true Celtic.

EDIT: Wow, that kryptonite really looks like it's shooting us all the bird, doesn't it?  Hope that's not an omen.
