Why the excitement over Walker staying rather than Sheldon

I don't get it

It's not excitement. Walker is locked in for another couple of years on a cheap contract. Dealing him away, when he ought to compete for rotation minutes next season, isn't a smart move.
I seriously doubt Bill Walker is a part of this team next year

The C's own two draft picks next year and I think they clean house of the young talent(Walker) and start over with new young talent in the form of those two picks
We have two firsts or a first and a second?

First and second
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

[dang] I was hoping we made a trade for a first I forgot about.

You have to remember that a bunch of players on the team are on one year deals. Daniels, TA, Scals, Nate, Williams and the two guys they sign with the buyouts.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Agreed. I could see Sergio getting some major burn in Mike D's system.

We got Nate

I could not get the trade to work on trade checker where Eddie, JR, and Billy were traded for Nate and Marcus. There has to be more to this.

Fiddle around with NY's trade exceptions.

Confirmed.
Nate could be like Gasol.
Good player on crappy team until trade and then you see the real player.

Billy dunks real good, and is thus overvalued.

See Green, Gerald.

Gasol had lead Memphis to a 50 win season.

Gasol was the only player on that squad. I am not saying Nate is Gasol, but the comparison of potentially good players on bad teams.

Except in Nate's case, he isn't even close to the best player on that bad team.

In fact, when he plays for the bad team, it gets worse.
