Can someone show me a Nate Robinson deal that (a) makes sense, and (b) works on the RealGM trade checker?  I can't find one.

Eddie House and Shelden

Robinson and Marcus Landry

Does any of the CBA buffs out there know whether we will have Bird rights on Nate, if he gets traded to the Cs?

I am pretty sure he loses his bird right in any trade because he was only on a 1 year deal ,  but he would likely only command an MLE type deal next summer, I don't see any team giving him more than the MLE.

You don't lose bird rights in a trade, but the player has to be signed to a three year deal to be eligible for bird rights. Nate was obviously only signed to one.

That's exactly what I said.....

This trade kills his Bird rights, the Knicks would have had it if he stayed.

Quote
...the player essentially must play for three seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent. This means a player can obtain "Bird rights" by playing under three one-year contracts, a single contract of at least three years, or any combination.

Nate would be just the energy offense/scoring we need. Were basically looking real old and like zombies out there Nates the opposite. Id take him over Eddie in a heartbeat.

I just don't want him.

He plays at the begining of the season, Knicks not good.
He is out of the rotation, Knicks ok.

More to the point

With Nate, 10-21
Without Nate 9-12

And that matters how?  He's a bench player that has little impact on a horrible team.

God I hope this isn't true

Can't stand the player

Can't stand his game

Can't stand his ego

Can't stand his attitude

Can't stand the thought of him on this team

TP  Mate.  Unimpressed and Underwhelmed by DA atm.

If Marbury could work in Boston, I'm more willing to believe the only cancer among all the parties involved are the Knicks, and that Nate could work here, too.

Did he work out?  I'm not so sure from some of his comments after they didn't want him back.  I mean I guess there wasn't anything public but, I doubt that knucklehead didn't cause some waves in the locker room.  I mean he's eating vaseline online now..
He did not work out because he could not a hit a jump shot or score. Not because he was crazy (which he was).

Yes I know (lol) but, when I heard his comments about Paul I just had the feeling that he made similar comments in the locker room.  I'm probably off the mark.

alanhahn:
Just heard the Celtics/Nate Robinson situation getting warmer: Searching for 3rd team to make the deal happen because of N8's BYC contract.

alanhahn:

Knicks will likely secure a draft pick in the Robinson swap with the Celtics. At least that's the goal here. Eddie House likely in the deal.

i think that detroit or miami should jump in and help us...afterall, danny gift-wrapped a title for both of those teams when he was the third cog in a couple of deals a few years ago...  :)

TA for Kryptonate works. For all the other players, you would have to add more pieces on each side to make a deal work.

Yes, Sir!

Actually, that is a big impact.

A 43% winning vs. 32% winning .

Roughly a 10 % drop.

I don't see what the big deal is about giving up a 1st round pick. Is losing out on the next JR Giddens such a big deal? Especially when the team would have to give him a guaranteed contract when their payroll is high already.

Because it can't be used in a bigger trade, that helps the team more.

And it could be the next JR Giddens, or it could be the next Glen Davis, Carlos Boozer, Michael Redd, Gilbert Arenas, Rajon Rondo, etc.  Especially since the way the C's are playing right now, the pick could climb significantly higher than it was when they got Giddens.

Just because the last first round pick for the C's was a bust does not mean every late first round pick is a bust
