Sounds like a lot of tire kicking to me...I don't wanna lose Davis for a back up PG...Unless Danny's gonna get Ty Thomas...Actually, what will really happen is: Something out of Left Field that NOBODY has thought of yet---Except Danny Ainge.

Idk if anyone saw this, but one of the Cat's beat writers is saying Charlotte likes Rasheed and Big Baby.

Hope that's the case, Sheed was a mistake. Shame they don't still have Okafor.

You are completely correct. I don't like this trade and I'm glad it's rumored because that means it won't come true.

We can't trade Baby unless we are expecting another big. KG looks like he's playing on one leg, and Sheed rarely tries.I don't see us trading Sheed.

If we trade for a back up pg that is small we still have the same problem as we did with any other back up pg. Eddie can't play with a normal sized pg because that creates a defensive mismatch at the 2.
DKC:  Rockets

Like I said... if they take Sheed and Baby then maybe we wouldn't feel so bad taking on Dalembert's contract in a Ray for Iggy/Dalembert trade.  But I still say Philly would refuse to deal with Boston.

Dump baby and sheed.  I like the crazy suggestion someone said in the comments section of the blog post... "think big... think Amare".

Hilarious. Get the Bobcats to take our crappy bigmen (sheed and baby) and then make a run at Amare.  Here's my first nutty attempt:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ygkpxha

Give the Bobcats the Sheed/Baby crap sandwich.

Take back Augustin.

Trade Ray to the Suns for Amare.

Use our remaining expirings to bring in that bum Hinrich to fill Ray's void.

Which Augustin is closer to the "real" one, the guy from last year (fantastic) or this year (poor)?  I'd be willing to gamble that last year was closer to his true abilities.

While you are correct, I sure as Hades am not building my roster around Eddie House.

Get the Bobcats to take our useless big men.

Trade Ray to the Suns for Amare and Jrich.

 My dream trade:

-Scalabrine
-Glen Davis
-Rasheed Wallace

-for-

-D.J. Augustin
-Boris Diaw
-Stephen Graham

Salaries match, and I read that Charlotte has interest in Rasheed and Glen Davis.

I extended the trade, got us Boris Diaw (incredibly versitile) and Stephen Graham (solid backup) in addition to DJ Augustin.

I'd do that in a heartbeat (though I'll miss Scal)

Very low-impact trade.  Augustin's passing/penetrating ability would clear up some of our bench confusion, but he's not that much better than House.  And it's hard to ignore this year's stats and uphold last year's stats for Augustin without doing the same for House.  Both were very good last year and have been crap this year.

It would be risky, but I might prefer a Baby/Sheed for Augustin/Mohammed swap.  I'm not sure what's come over Nazr this season, but he's been doing an amazing Leon Powe impersonation, scoring and rebounding like a madman off the bench.   I'd worry that he might suddenly reverse course and continue the pursuit of the Worst Big Man title he was pursuing last year.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

How much of Augustin's sophomore "slump" can be chalked up to Larry Brown's system and style?

Well, the difference is that Augustin is a sophomore, while Eddie is on the wrong side of 30 and is coming off of a career year, right?

See, I hate the unwritten law that says don't trade within your division. It doesn't really make sense in the NBA. If you're Philadelphia, you're still going to have to play Igoudala a couple times a year, and it's not like they're going for a championship or some sort of regular season win record that would be in danger if you had to play him four times instead of three.

Yes, I doubt a guy is going to regress in his sophomore year from a basketball standpoint unless he is uncomfortable in his situation.

Or if opposing teams have all of his tendencies down cold.  Which is probably a stretch.
