Harris, Thabo, Omri, David Lee, Lopez? Oh I think I improved it. Improved it like a fox!

How hard is it to improve a 4 win team that's on pace to be the worst team of all time?

IP, I like your team and had Omri and Thabo on my list.

Yeah, but even with my hot pile of garbage to choose from (sans Harris/Lopez of course), I had to start with the #11 pick. I walkin on sunshine..ohhh ohhh ohhhh....

So far my starting five

PG: Parker
SG: Barbosa (may move to bench)
SF: Anthony Randolph
PF: Shawn Marion
Center: Tim Duncan

Still need to get a nice big backup with my next pick. I guess people will judge my team on what they think of Randolph. However, I personally think he would look a hell of a lot better getting passes from Parker instead of Shots from monta and coaching from pops instead of old paycheck nelson.

Yeah ... I'm likin' my team at this point, though it's more offensively leaning than defensive.

Chauncey Billups
Josh Howard
Carmelo Anthony
Al Harrington
Mehmet Okur

Not bad at all. ;)

If Howard gets consistent he'll be the steal of this draft.

Looks like a Utah/Denver hybrid

Yeah ... those rectangular states like to stick together ;). I thought I saw that Harrington got injured yesterday (?) tho' I'm not sure. Couldn't believe Howard was still around, (thank you, Roy for filling in), or Okur, for that matter.

I think I've definitely improved the Jazz
Williams
Granger
Battier
Boozer
Hibbert

And Sheed as the backup 4/5.

I'd go to battle with that line-up against anyone.  Get a couple more decent bench players and we're really rocking.

I think you'd be better with Odom or Turk. Granger doesn't really fit with the rest of your team, especially at the 2.

Considering that he's regressed the last two years I'm not sure you can rely on that.

I think my team is definitely better considering the shape that Houston was in.

Brooks
Salmons
Young
Millsap
Scola

All players 30 years old and younger and fairly durable.  Which was the biggest problem the real Rockets always have
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

I think Granger is a great fit alongside Deron Williams. You want an out-and-out scorer because Deron Williams will have the ball in his hands so much of the time. A guy like Hedo Turkoglu who's only high end talent is his passing ability is a poor fit for Williams. Takes the ball out of his hands too much and Turk becomes an expensive Jason Kapono like player (spot up shooter) when he doesn't have enough touches to take advantages of his passing ability.

I also like the Granger and Battier combination on the wings. Battier will be taking all the tough defensive assignments regardless of two guards or small forwards so positions aren't important here. I think Battier defends the two better than the three anyway. A non-issue for me.

So, I love the perimeter trio of Deron Williams, Danny Granger and Shane Battier. That will be one of the best perimeter groupings in the league.

I don't like Boozer and Hibbert combination though. Very slow + poor defensively. A repeat of Utah's current defensive problems on the interior. And then Rasheed as the sixth man, another slow footed defender albeit significantly superior than either Booz or Hibbert.

I think Hibbert needs to go for a big man with more defensive chops. Then you have a Championship contender on your hands. Without that defensive upgrade I'd view the team as an outside contender. Capable but not a frontrunner. Needs a fair bit of luck to go it's way. Sort of like Denver or Utah itself in real life.
