Seriously, how inept is Ed Lacerte (trainer) for letting him go back into the game? Doc is not trained in medicine/injuries so he can't get any blame for letting him back in the game, but the trainer needs to be held accountable for this.

If he's done for the year, don't even bother trying to win it this year.  Won't happen. Start playing for next year.

Agreed. However, you gotta wonder how many good deals will be out there, because other teams will try to fleece Danny. However, if out for season and they can get a good deal for Ray, they have to trade him.

Start playing for next year.

i.e. trade Ray for younger players.

I think it is safe to say that God is not a Celtics fan anymore  :'(
Either that or everyone in the league that questioned this team because of age (and injuries) were right afterall.

Age has nothing to do with breaking a foot after landing on someone's foot.

Gotta go and try to do Butler and Miller if at all possible.

Eh, I can't blame him.  Without an X-Ray, its really tough to know there was something like this.  The fact that Pierce was able to move so well was good enough reason to give him a chance.

But the trainer has to rely on what the player is telling him and there is no way for the trainer to know if that foot is broken. For everything I have seen over the years, Lacerte has been a high-quality guy (although I am not sure of his role in the Garnett issue last season)

Won't win next year either.  I am firmly convinced that the window for this team closes after this year.  So if PP is out for the year, we may have to blow it up completely.

I remember telling my HS trainer that my ankle felt fine on a play and he held me out for the rest of the game and the X Rays showed a break. Lacerte is washed up. Not the players!

How bad did Paul look when he was playing after he got hurt? Maybe rest him till playoffs or a few weeks before and see if he can play on an injured foot. Artest is playing with a foot injury.

if it's true, we're finished, done, for many years, since this is the last year for this team.

Max just said that when Pierce got off the plane last night he was hobbling badly and that he said the foot was killing him.
