The team does not know for sure if Pierce's foot is broken after X-rays taken Tuesday; more tests are scheduled. But it "looks that way," the league source said.

When it rains it pours, huh?

Just when I think I can't feel any less confident about this team, it gets worse.

All I can say now is:

Go Spurs!

Go Jazz!

Go Mavs!

Go Nuggets!

Now would be the best time to trade Ray and a package of bench guys. With Pierce out and Ray replaced, the new players would have more time to mesh(even if it is in different roles when PP returns but still) Ray for Miller and Butler   or Ray,Quis,BBD for Tyrus,Salmons and Hinrich
Can't stop, Rondo!

Go Danny and trade Ray !

or let Ray expire and try to trade KG for expiring contracts. We would be able to offer a max contract this summer if we could do that.

It really depends how long he will be out.  I could actually see this spur Danny to move some of the other expiring contracts for a band-aid if Pierce looks like he will be back before the playoffs.

I'm going for a different perspective on this one; how tough is Pierce!  He's knocked out his front teeth, damaged his knee and possibly broken his foot
guy can take a hit!
Too bad Daniels isn't healthy

Have a feeling that if it is, in fact broken, this one may not be so cut and dried -- as in out 4 months guaranteed.  Not time to sound the Abandon Ship horn just yet.......

on Boston 98.5 they are saying it could be 4-6 weeks if it is just a broken bone

but if its a stress fracture he is likely done for the year

Yeah, let's see the prognosis first before jumping the gun here.

This team has spiraled out of control since Lucky was fired. You don't fire your mascot after you just won the championship. I don't care if the guys showed up to work like Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory(awful movie. sorry), you don't fire him.
