We're up by 11 on a good team at the half, and the negative comments outweigh the positive ones by a seemingly 3:1 margin.  What gives?  Is it residual negativity from the losing streak?

I know it wasn't a perfect half, but man, I'll take an 11 point lead on Orlando any day.  It's okay to pump a *little* positivity in here, isn't it?
There's negativity and there's realistic views though ;)

Hope ya don't mind my doom-saying today :p I'm still rooting for the C's! And enjoying the game; love it when we hit the threeball like we're doing, but it's scary too, if you know what I mean.

A lot of the "negativity" is seeing how the first half unfolded.  The C's are playing pretty well but only up 11.  Pierce and KG are non factors and the hot 3 point shooting will most likely fade away as it does most game.  The Magic are playing terribly but getting open looks from 3 that they usually make.  They are hanging around due to offensive rebounding and the normal C's turnovers.

Since this type of game that the Celtics regularly have played in the last month it's tough to think they won't give the lead back in the second half that's all it is...

Rondo gets selected to ASG and lays an egg in 1st half. 0/4 FG 0/2 FT 0=points
Plus the matador defense on Nelson.  If Rondo can do even half of what he's capable of in the 2nd half, this should be an easy win.
He played solid defense, Jameer went off in transition and off of picks.

Rondo did a very good job of not gambling overly much in the first half.

I have yet to see a positive post from you, heck you were upset during a blow out game against the Nets. That was a game the C's dominated and put away in the first half.

Make your points, but I fully expect you to be harping rebounding, KG's lack of hops, and turnovers at the end of the game as well. Even if we win by 22...

Barkely and CWebb pointing out how KG is just limping around on the court...

You can fixate on the bad in any situation.  I mean, heck, somebody could probably say something bad against Game 6 of our Finals victory; didn't LA shoot more free throws than we did?

I understand pointing out mistakes and flaws.  I'd just expect a little more balance when we're up by 11 against a good team.

It's just something I don't understand about certain fans.  If folks don't enjoy the games, even when we're winning, where's the joy?  It's just one of those mysteries I'll never understand, I guess.  I suppose, on the bright side, it did give fodder for my sig (one of the more amusing rants in recent history), so that's a good thing.

Yea, I'm very pleased with an 11 point lead on the road against one of the other contenders. I've kind of expected that we are going to get hurt on the offensive boards at this point. We force a lot of contested jump shots and our rotations leave our bigs out of rebounding position a lot.

I just hope Perk doesn't pick up a dumb foul early because Howard was starting to abuse Wallace.

We got this game.

But then again like you said, Pierce and Garnett (as well as Rondo) have been non factors on the offensive end, yet were still up by 11. If one of those guys gets it going I like our chances.

Hmmm well considering the lack or rebounding, KG's status and turnovers are major concerns for this team and their championship aspirations of COURSE I will point them out as any logical fan would.

It's because we are Celtics fans and have high expectations.  Did you see the camera shot of the 2 EC champion banners?  Ha.  Celts have higher standards:  They should be blowing out the Magic right now and we all know it.

Every post, in every game thread.........

No comments on good defense, on ball movement, on excellent 3 point shooting, on Rasheed's ability to get steals of Dwight Howard in the post, etc...

This team, when healthy, has always handled Orlando. I have no worries tonight. Now tomorrow, that is a different story.

I don't understand starting Matt Barnes. Pietrus played so well last year. :-\
