I just don't have a good feeling anymore when Eddie shoots the ball. I really hope Danny finds a scorer for off the bench. Biggest third quarter of the year coming up -- Go Celts.

I agree. Just flipped the channel to the Knicks game and Nate is flying around and pumping up the crowd. I have done a full 180 on the "acquiring Nate" issue from a few weeks ago. Too bad the Knicks want something back for him.

Our 3 all-star players have a point total of 9 points tonight.

So?

Scoring doesn't win basketball games.

I like this Orlando black jerseys.

How many 2nd chance points have the Magic scored in the first half? I'd guess about a third of their points. 12, 15... The Celtics didn't score any, I think. Fortunately, the 3s are falling for Boston and not for Orlando, otherwise we'd be once again behind in a game solely due to the lack of rebounding.

It's very doubtful this team can compete for a championship if they can't even compete with another contending teams on the boards.

I wonder if the refs will let the Orlando fans see Dwight Howard in the 2nd half.

Why complain anout that? The Celts have almost twice as many fouls as Orlando. Both Sheed and Perk with 3.

If Craig Smith can finish around the rim, then I'm pretty sure Big Baby can. He just needs to have a brain down there. He used to be crafty his rookie season, but this year everything he throws up gets swatted.
Um, no.  Davis can't jump and he has short arms for his height.  These things will not change.  Davis CAN learn how to upfake however.  Smith is far mroe athletic and has a bigger wingspan.

My expectations for the second half;

- Rondo will go to the basket again, score 12+ points.
- It's time for us to come down from 7-11 3p's and I think Sheed will have something to do with it.
- Pierce... I dunno, I think he'll have a single good quarter, and another bad one. He's a pro and will always have a good stretch but, this isn't his game so far.

I predict a 3rd q collapse, we'll 3 points behind at the end of the 3rd.

Hope I'm wrong again :p

Only reason Orlando is in this game -- 23 free throws to 11.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
We're up by 11 on a good team at the half, and the negative comments outweigh the positive ones by a seemingly 3:1 margin.  What gives?  Is it residual negativity from the losing streak?

I know it wasn't a perfect half, but man, I'll take an 11 point lead on Orlando any day.  It's okay to pump a *little* positivity in here, isn't it?

Orlando doesn't usually crash the offensive glass all that often either. You know its bad when other teams abandon how they usually play and just crash down knowing they'll get enough to make it worth it.

That's one of the reasons Doc wants the C's to run, to punish teams and make them think twice about sending 3 to the offensive glass.

No complaints. I'm with you. I think the refs will make it where we see a lot of Howard in the 2nd half.

KG is still an asset to this team for his leadership, defensive smarts and jump shooting ability.  Hopefully his explosiveness and quickness will come back at least a bit though with time because it's painfully obvious he doesn't have it now.  On the alley oop he couldn't make a simple dunk and missed a layup.  And on the boards he now tries to tip the ball to himself or teammates because he can't go up and grab it himself.

Pierce looks lethargic tonight too getting his shot blocked at least 3 times and not showing much quickness on either end of the floor.

Two of Howard's fouls were stupid ticky tack ones that are easily avoided.

I think he'll be more focused in the second half.

I expect the C's to come out of the half and push the lead. 10 point C's victory.

Rondo gets selected to ASG and lays an egg in 1st half. 0/4 FG 0/2 FT 0=points
Plus the matador defense on Nelson.  If Rondo can do even half of what he's capable of in the 2nd half, this should be an easy win.
