Reality: WE HAD THE BEST TEAM IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE STATISTICALLY WITH KG IN THE LINEUP.

HATERS CAN CONTINUE TO IGNORE THIS.

And vinnie, you really think KG doesn't close out quicker than Sheed did on that Villanueva 3? hahahahahah.

I love guys who watch the games with their eyes closed and don't see this team falling apart. Can Eddie House not shoot because KG is out? Can Ray Allen not defend because KG it out? Is Sheed ommpletely ineffective because KG is out? Does Big Baby get stuffed almost every time he goes up for a layup because KG is out? Open your eyes. The Pistons were without THREE key players tonight.

I didn't watch the game with my eyes closed. I was half expecting the 3rd quarter collapse to be honest. My issue is with people writing off the entire big 3 era, even though the cog that makes it all work is absent. KG gets everyone better looks on offense and is the missing piece of the defense.

Sheed is ineffective because KG is out. He is a 20-25 mpg player at this point and can't handle starting.

Didn't big baby have things figured out last year and now is not in game shape yet? Yes. He has a track record.

Losing tonight was not acceptable, but it's not as if the championship trophy hopes were diminished. I am embarrassed by the loss, but you guys were freaking out when the Pacers beat us.

Number 1 D in the league with KG. Number 8 O. We've been a rock in the ocean since he's been out.

Last year without KG we took the Magic to game 7 in the semi-finals. Right now, we'd be lucky to avoid a sweep in round 1.

lets be honest. this team is at best the 2nd seed. they are falling further behind the cavs ad soon atlanta might follow....honestly..i expect boston to be a 3 seed when the playoffs start. it is also obvious this team needs more to get over the hump.

i mean they are losing to teams they really should beat...the next 5 games are just brutal

I think the refs should come out and criticize Sheed tonight for playing like a corpse. That would be fair.
rofl :]

hahaha. love it.

To who? Who'd you start over him? House? Allen?

I mean... right now we're shorthanded as it is. Why would he have to go to the 6?

here is the problem: pierce looks very slow and somewhat still injured....ray is just struggling...KG is hurt....they are showing their age big time.

darn, I wish we could have started the season like this...we would at least have chances for a top 5 draft pick next season... :P
I'm trying to see the humorous side of things but this team has made me really really sad recently... it's not the results, but it's just like I'm watching another team play! this is not the boston celtics...

I hate this team right now. I hate everything about them. Nobody played worth a [dang] tonight and this is becoming the norm rather than the exception. There's absolutely nothing fun about watching this team since Christmas. All I'm getting is more and more disgusted. 56 points in the first half and 30 in the second. Nice 48 minutes out of you guys. They're awful.

After the back to back losses to the Clippers/Warriors everyone said to remain calm things would be fine.  After blowing a big lead at home to the 76ers there was no need to worry.  After losing to the Hawks 3 times and blowing a big lead in the last game everything was OK.  After losing to a 3 win road team in the Bulls it was fine since the C's were tired.  After blowing a big lead against a Mavs team playing the 2nd game of a road back to back it was OK.

Now after losing to an injury depleted Piston team that had lost 14 of 17 games is it time to worry yet?

How far does this team have to sink before it becomes obvious that a huge change is needed?

Um...yes?  When KG is in the game, better ball movement, more in-rhythm spot-ups for the shooters.  It's long been obvious that KG's help D is a huge reason why our perimeter defenders look so good.  When KG is in Sheed is playing the backups, so yeah he'll look better.  Etc.

And the "Pistons were without 3 key players" line is tired.  Do you think there is a chance on earth that the Cs would trade a healthy KG for a healthy Ben Gordon, Tayshaun Prince and whoever?  No?  So why on earth do you keep trying to make it seem like that's a bigger loss for the Pistons?

Point taken, but its seems with Paul and Ray together, the club gives up a lot of speed and athleticism on the wing. So Start Tony. And partner Ray with Walker.
