Any trade of TA to Chicago would require Wyc to write a check to cover the additional security costs at the arena.
I'm afraid that with TA's little character problem, not to mention injury history, he is exactly the player that absolutely no team wants, especially in Chicago...except as an expiring salary, and they might not even want him to show up.
He could help some teams on the court, though, but only the ones that already have shooters, and need a slasher/garbage/hustle guy to come in like the Tazmanian Devil, which is his "style". Still, I wouldn't be surprised if TA wasn't in the league next year.
But, given that, maybe Chi does it as a pure $$$ move. I think most teams dumping players for cap relief will want a pick, too.
And I agree that whomever is available for us in a trade this year will involve some sort of either risk or financial committment. TP.
