I remember Walker coming in and being the starter during Al Jefferson's rookie year because he could score consistently and play defense within a system and that Al's second year he was awfully inconsistent, foul prone and then hobbled by a bad foot so Ryan Gomes was given chances because of all these reasons and because at the time Gomes was a PF without an outside shot that could consistently rebound, something that Big Al couldn't consistently do at first
