Just bored in the classroom and someone mentioned that it is a small rumor

Boston trades Ray, Rondo, Scali, 1st, 2nd and cash

Receives Paul, Peja, Arthur, and Haddadi.  (will have to waive or trade Hudson, Walker or JR)

NO trades Paul, Peja, and Armstrong

Receives Ray, Rondo, Williams (and trims about 8 million off the books this year + any tax savings.  15 million + next year) and Bos 1st

Mem (added to get around the BYC and PPP) trade Arthur, Haddadi and Williams

Recieves Scali, Armstrong, Bos 2nd and cash.

Memphis actually adds a player that improves them.

I know.  Long shot.

Even if it means giving up Rondo and Ray, if you can get Chris Paul you do it.  You can make a case that Paul is as good as Lebron or Kobe.  And he's going to be on that level for a long, long time.

Wdleehi has gone mad. First it was Trade Ray, Trade Ray, Trade Ray. Now it's Trade Rondo, Trade Rondo, Trade Rondo.

The problem with this is that we are left with a huge hole at the 2 spot. I would love to have CP3 on our team but if we trade Ray we need someone that can give us contender level game at the 2. Now if NO are willing to buy Ray out and we get him back...(i know, just dreaming here)

Clearly since I am just trading them for cap filler.    ::)

I will have none of it. I believe our future lies in Rondo and Perk and trading them, imo, would be like hitting the self-destruct button.

You move Pierce to the 2, start Peja at the 3.  Increase the work load of Daniels.

A big advantage the C's have is that their starting 5 have been playing together for years now.  No reason to go to the other extreme of a group too newly thrown together to be competitive this year.  I'd be shocked if anyone other than possibly Ray, among the starters, goes this year.

Except for maybe four players in the NBA

Lebron
Howard
Wade
Paul

They are too good and too young.

The GM or owner said a few weeks ago that they have no interest in trading Chris Paul. They would trade West before Paul who is clearly a top 10 NBA player for the next 10 years. I don't see them trading him.

If our future is Rondo and Perk then our future is as "also rans". Neither of them is a good offensive player. Both are complimentary players around stars. They fit that bill very nicely and are exactly what you want around the big 3. On their own they will never be enough to be your main guys. Chris Paul on the other hand is a star. I think I would do this deal as much as I hate to lose Ray.

Peja and Daniels haven't completed a season in three years. Pierce is a much better 3 than a 2.

Peja would be bench filler on the C's.

So together, they could probably completer one full season.

Heck, even TA could start with Paul as a PG.  Paul shoots so much better then Rondo.
