I'm great. My wife is at week 37 of pregnancy, birth is right around the corner (our first), and the checkup with the OB today went great. I love watching my wife's belly move as the baby moves inside her, or feeling a move with my hand -- incredible experience and we feel very blessed by it.
Awesome news ... congratulations! (TP) Being a dad is the toughest and most rewarding thing you'll ever experience ... make the most of every moment, and love them without limit.
I'll say a prayer that the baby is born healthy, I might add ... but maybe not quite as "healthy" as mine were: I had three, two girls and a boy, from 10 lbs 8 oz to 11 lbs 3 oz!
Yeah, my wife is a small woman with a small frame. She was 105-110 lbs when she got pregnant with my three boys. She ballooned up to 150lbs on all three and gave birth to all three over 9 lb 6 oz. Something that big should just never come out of a small woman.
Ouch, it hurt just remembering it.
LOL! I agree ... I think if men were responsible for the birthing, there would be no over-population problems in the world. My son was the biggest, and his head was so conical from being in the canal so long ... people say newborns are so "beautiful", and they
are, in a "wonder of birth" sort of way, but while my son is handsome now, when he first came out, with that cone-head and pressed face, all covered in liquids of various colors, (we won't get too graphic here), I was in a kind of
"What IS it? It's too big! Put it back ... it's not done cooking!" state of shock. I had helped birth babies before, but nothing close to his size ... they gave my ex-wife a tee-shirt that said: "The Moose Is Mine!" ... my son still has that shirt, lol, (and now
he's a dad and in the Army). He still holds the family record that he took from me by one ounce, (I was 11 lb 2 oz, but thin my whole life)
