I'm going to pretend the Celtics aren't on a skid.

I'm good, at the moment. A few people coming over later  and I'm making beats on the ole MPC right now. Making music puts me in a happy place. Cutting a demo next week. Write/Produce/Mix/Engineer. I've got the whole game covered  :D
do share some of your tunes with us plz :)

I will most certainly share the demo, as for the beats, I don't post those online  :P

Doing great. Gonna have steak for dinner again. Celtics on tonight. Busting my ass off working on a design for a friend's site now. Should be done by the end of the day.

Really lookin' forward to my own next basketball game. I plan to make up for my 'drought' and be aggressive instead of kind (2 years of +-1ppg is quite low when before you'd average 8.)

I feel your pain with the average. The last three teams I have played for (rec ball of course) have had non stop shooters. Frustrating when your average is hovering -5 PPG than you are used to. I have learned to play harder defense and set better picks. At least I get the work out and every once in awhile, a pass that wouldnt have come before....teammates will reward hard work...

I'm the senior on a team of youngsters, point guard, trying to get everyone involved in a league way above our level. While I do that, I also play in a team full of veterans. On that second team, there's a lot of shooters indeed. That's alright, but I need to be less careful. I tend to not go to the hoop strong enough, I need to be more aggressive. Or so I've been told ;)

My coach actually says I should go for 20 to 25 points any given game. Bah. So yeah, I need more killer instinct ;)

Kiorrik, do you play in a club league or just pickup games with usual teammates?

Club league.

On paper, I'm a "bench player" on our first team, and am officially in the second squad of our club. Thing is though, with our first team, at 28 I'm the eldest in that team of youngsters, and I'm the captain of the squad ;)

It must be fun to play in a club and to be the leader! Don't know why but envisioning you on a court seems funny to me since I depict you as a totally different guy, very serious and focused on the game. ;D

This day is just dragging. The roads are too terrible to do anything so I've been stuck at home since I woke up. I wanna watch JR Giddens already.

Give it up man, you can't predict what people are like in real life hahaha :D

At first, I thought you looked like Ray, with a Christmas hat. Now I kinda think you look like Rondo. You still got a great sig though rofl :')

But erm, yeh, I'm not too serious, most of the time. Since we lose a lot, I got to be cheery, keep the squad happy. But as from next game, I'll be a bit more of a real leader. I need to step up to the plate and make an example out of myself on the field. I need to give it all, instead of just doing what has been asked of me, if you follow me.

Btw, bit of a long story but here goes;

I work for a web-design company, and we work together with several companies providing content management systems. Well, the CEO of one of those companies plays basketball too, and he's a ref as well. So our squad had to play against the no.1 contender, and since we'll end dead last, it was a big loss. But that CEO guy reffed the game.

So when we had our Christmas 'party' at work, he was there too. Now, I always downplay my basketball aspirations when I'm talking to my colleagues 'cuz I sincerely don't want to come across arrogant, or as some bragging, boosting <cough>. But this guy really made me feel uncomfortable: we were talking basketball and the head of my department, our boss and the owner of the company were listening too. So, he started talking about that game and about my team... "You really are the hero of your team huh? You had to do it all by yourself and try and keep them in the game as well." He also went on a bit about how I not only shouldered the load, but also how I created for the others.

Best part, that guy hadn't even finished his first beer yet! :p

Yeah, I see what you mean. I have a tendency to be a little passive too and rely on others. What position do you play?

Forced into a point guard spot since I'm the only one that can handle the ball while keeping an eye on the field. Still, I'm not a real PG, I should be a forward, imo.

How about you? And what's your strengths?

Would love to complain about the blizzard outside, the migraine in my head that won't go away, the short-handed Celtics, my Dad in the hospital, my fiance's Mom's illness, not being able to say "no" to additional on-call, my snow-blower's starter dying, messing Edgar up on the PAPOUG game, and not having touched my guitar or recording stuff in over two weeks, but the fact is when the Celtic's are playing, all's good and right with the world! (And by saying I wouldn't complain, I already have! ;))

Thanks, Bud, (TP) that's just "Life" stuff ... and there are so many in this world who are really suffering. I'm warm, fed, loved, relatively healthy, and watching the Celts with a short-handed lead ... all is well, and "Life" can wait a couple hours ... until after the game. ;)
