WHat in the world was Pierce doing there?  DIdn't even stay with Ginobli there. TERRIBLE finish to the quarter there giving the SPurs 5 quick points.

WHat a terrible finish to wipe away almost half of the double digit lead

who got credit for the blair tip-in?

Marquis - he was closest to the ball.

Nice spurt out there but that closing 5-0 run hurt us.  Ray and KG playing very well but Rondo is being a little too fancy with some passes and Pierce has been pretty quiet.  How easy the second half is depends on how well the bench does this time through.

It's either the last offensive player to touch the ball or the closest offensive player to the defensive player making the own basket (in the later case if the actions of the said player affect the defender and cause him to score on his own goal). In this case there wasn't anyone near Blair to affect his move, so it should have been credited to Scalabrine.

Thought it was Quisy.

Rondo dribbles under the hoop too much IMO.  He's never looking for the layup, he usually looks to pass it into traffic.

--He probably never goes for the layup, cause he knows he's horrible at FTs.
I'm getting tired of that last one. He's just not taking layups with bigs around. Esp. not when it's Duncan. I wouldn't either. And my FT's are great :P

Anyway, I really don't think he does that too much. He's always done it and it's just easier against the Spurs, or so it seems.

I think the rule is always whoever's closest, even though Scal shot the shot ends when the ball leaves the cylinder.  They definitely gave it to Quis though, check the play-by-play.

That 0-5 run in the last 30 seconds was unnecessary and exclusively a product of lack of effort and concentration.

Lazy finish to the first half ... but a very good performance overall.
