Very poor substitutions by Doc tonight.  It was painfully obvious that the lineup on the floor lost the offensive flow and also was playing terrible defense.  No one protecting the middle against drives or rebounds.  Doc waited too long to bring the starters back in there and now the Spurs are right back in the game

I have a suspicion Doc's trying to make a point to somebody, maybe remind the starters they shouldn't rely on bench so much.  I'm not sure, but you're right that the substitutions were puzzling.
hmm.. you mean cut down the lead so that the starters will continue to play with urgency?

Yeah, we got a lead so Doc chose to experiment.  Not a good team to experiment against.
I don't think it was an experiment. Scal was in instead of Sheldon because of Bonner, other than that it was our normal substitution pattern.

Sheldon should have been in the game to defend Blair was my main point.  And like I said a bit disappointed in Daniels his perimeter quickness isn't there like I thought it would be

Bonner plays the 4? If that's true, I can't argue with that, then. I thought since Sheed was posting up more, Sheed would be the camping behind the arc instead.

Very poor offensive quarter so far for the C's.  The great passing and rhythm has disappeared.  The C's are back to the standing around and forcing up shots near the end of the shot clock.  Can't believe they are only up 3 as poorly as the Spurs have played.

KG to Perkins. Good to see KG give up the shot to make that happen.

  • Rondo = Good
Rondo keeps running down to the basket then has to reset.  Is it just because he finds he has no layup there or is that a deliberate strategy?
