The Saints just wasted a challenge there.  Ellis clearly wasn't down, and I don't think you can challenge whether his forward progress was stopped (which I don't think it was).

Pats had a good opportunity to hike that ball prior to a challenge.  Should have done it.

I think the question is not whether th ball was fumbled, but whether Ellis was down when he recovered the fumble in the first place
