  • Let's Go Celtics!
That no-continuation call goes right up there with scoring the basket when Portland had 6 men on the floor, I'd say.

ugh. don't remind of that play... that still kills me.

just standing around on defense watching...not even boxing out....
NO HANDS UP IN SHOOTERS FACES, [dang it]!!

noticed that the last several games...when the shot goes up the Cs dont have hands up to contest

Another mediocre team, another poor defensive display and another first half deficit. Question for all the "don't worry" guys out there tonight. Just when this year should we expect this team to really start playing defense?
Celtics played excellent defense at the start of the season + still rank 2nd best in the league in defensive efficiency + played excellent defense against the Magic a couple of games ago.

This year's team has already shown their defensive chomps. They're just in a rut at the moment.

And to answer your question, speaking for myself, I'd have to see the Celtics sub-par defensive efforts for a large portion of the season (say a third) before I was anywhere near convinced that we won't see the Celtics elite defense return at a later time.

KG gets called for that but Pierce doesn't get the Charge call on the other end. Typical.

Does anyone else think KG should sit out for a few games?

I know he is a warrior and is trying hard but it's obvious he just doesn't have it.  The lucky flip shot that was disallowed notwithstanding, KG just isn't contributing much on offense other than being a passer.

On defense he is too slow to guard most forwards and rarely grabs rebounds anymore.  Watch him going up for rebounds like on that last trip. He now tries to tip the ball to himself or a teammate instead of grabbing it.  He just doesn't have the lift or quickness to go out and get the ball now...

This is why people are turning off the NBA:  No continuation on the KG bucket, and then a make-up call on the next play when Ray hit a bucket but wasn't really fouled.

This is a ploy by the NBA to sell sponsorships. "Stay tuned for the Revlon Make-Up Call of the Day!"

If it wasn't for these turnovers we would have been carrying a 10 point lead...

Once again.  With the lead and a chance to really extend, poor offense.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Go back to Europe and play soccer if you're gonna flop like that.  Give me a break.
