AI is washed dawg rofl he was an icon for my childhood as most of us modeled our games after dude

why would anyone model their game after this selfish, volume-chucker?

Because he was a beast. He never gave up and he was tenacious and very fast.. When he was at his prime, nobody could stop him. He carried a lottery team to the finals all by himself, with minimal help.

When someone has that will and is that persistent and always tries hard, it rubs on anyone.. 80% of the kinds born in the 90s looked up to AI, myself included.

I am sure, that if he worked a little bit harder and took care of himself better he would still be playing good ball, and a few years better he would have been better than Jordan.. Nostalgia strikes me when i think of Allen, the biggest bummer in NBA history, maybe even the biggest potential and talent.

I would love to take a flyer out on a player like Allen Iverson. Grant Hill is proof that age doesn't matter when you have not been able to play for a couple of years. As long as Iverson is in shape and determined to win in a bench only role, he could be pretty helpful to this already loaded team.

And we need a back up pg! Imagine him and Jason Terry playing together? MADNESS. It would be epic.

Grant Hill didn't spend two seasons outside the NBA where no one wanted him.

That is because he wasn't black-balled like Iverson was. Plus, during those two plus seasons out..he didn't play.

Jordan was the best offensive and defensive player on the court whenever he stepped on a court.

Jordan could shut down three different positions(SF, SG, PG) on the court his defense was so good. Iverson could barelt guard PGs adequately.

Iverson could never have reached the levels of play that Jordan did. Ever.

To whoever is blabering that Jordan could not be measured as to how good he was cause the rule book was thrown away and wasnt applied to him. PRECISELY because Jordan was from another planet, way above everybody else in the history of the NBA, that was the reason the rules book didnt apply to him. One more thing, to those who say that they don't want a player that will be a problem in the locker-room:

1. Rondo was a big and serious problem in the locker room, often dividing himself and other young players away from the veterans.

2. KG was one of the most egoistic players in the NBA at the time of his arrival in Boston.

3. We survived a Rondo-Allen locker-room problem without even knowing it until the end of the season when everything was told to us. This proves that even if there are locker-room problems, we don't bring them on the court.

He was terrible.  He was about stats, even on defense.


He didn't play defense on the man, he would play it on the passing lanes.  For every steal he got, he put himself out of position 4 other times forcing his teammates to have to cover, leaving holes in the team defense.

If there were only two players on his team, Iverson and one other, that would be one too many for Iverson to share the ball with.

Out of all of the characters, personalities - we've had come through BOS over the years the number one thing that's wrecked this team has been injuries..

He is not a PG.


He is not a team player.


He is not a defender.



He is a selfish player that no longer has the ability he had when he was younger (or the ability to sell tickets) that allowed teams to overlook these other issues. 

He is the type of vet you do not want near the younger players on this team. 


Don't waste time or a roster space on him.  Better to just leave it open when another PG becomes available that is better prepared to fill the limited role the Celtics will need him to fill in the playoffs.
