people are acting like all 5 backups will come onto the court at the same time, I think this will rarely happen except in the case of blowouts. Daniels will mainly fill the role of backup 3 and also play point forward role when he is on the court with Eddie House, it all depends who he's playing with. If Doc mixes and matches the right lineups and keeps one ball handler on the floor at all times then Daniels will be able to fill in for both roles depending on who he's playing with. Marquis Daniels and Eddie House are capable of playing spot minutes at the point guard position effectively, and considering that there will be at most 15 mins a game at backup pg up for grabs, Eddie House and Daniels sharing that role will be just fine. Daniels will average around 20-30 mins a game, and it will be divided between the 1,2 and 3 backup mins. The only problem that I can see is that if Rondo is injured, they will need a true pg to be able to handle large minutes, but it's not like there are any really good pg's on the FA market right now anyways, and I'm sure Danny will find a way to trade for a aging "minute-eater" that wont help or hurt the team much if he really needed to, but this is something he could deal with later. We have 4 bench guys that each should get at least 20 mins a game(rasheed, big baby, marquis, house) and that will be really hard to do. I don't understand the obsession with acquiring another backup 3 when we already have one, and there are barely any minutes to go around as it is...
