In honor of today, the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Guinness brewery (they've still got 8750 years left on their lease, too), this is the official thread to post about your favorite frosty barley pops.  In honor of the anniversary I'll start with:

Cheers!

I was drinking some Guinness when I was on my recent trip up north to Montreal where the drinking age is 18. Beautiful city. Good beer, too.

I recently discovered this one, and I love it:

(Strangely, I spent an entire summer in Belgium, and never tried this over there.  On the subject of Belgian beers, though, Chimay is a great choice.)

Many IPA's, Rogue Brutal Bitter, Stone Arrogant B_stard are worth a mention, but I'll nominate Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA, which launched this spring. The story I heard was that the initial batch ran out quickly and it just became available again recently, at least in the Boston area.

Favorite that I can always get: got to be Sam Adams Light.

There are many others that are tasty but that just hits the spot every time.

The best beer I've ever had was in Germany.  many of the guest house/restaurants I stopped at brewed their own and each was terrific.  Looking forward to going back there in a couple of years.

For an everyday drinkin' beer, Left Hand Brewing's Sawtooth Ale.  Not necessarily the greatest beer of all time, but phenomenally drinkable.  An American version of an ESB, so it's got some really nice "domestic" (citrusy, piney) hop flavor, a real strong malt presense, a little bit of roastiness..   finishes dry and clean.  Exceptionally well-balanced.

If I'm only drinking one beer the rest of my life, it's this.

Keystone Light is my favorite.

For a sipping beer, I like Wachusett Blueberry

Still my favorite, will probably have one tonight:

There's some batch variability, so some bottles aren't quite as good as others, but mmmm tasty.

Exceptional as well.  That's one of the beers that's BETTER than my Sawtooth Ale, it's just not something that I necessarily want to drink every night.
