I recently discovered this one, and I love it:

(Strangely, I spent an entire summer in Belgium, and never tried this over there.  On the subject of Belgian beers, though, Chimay is a great choice.)

Roy,

Great call on the Belgian beers...i love them too!

Leffe (blonde) and Hoegarden are my 2 favorites, and I'd probably give Leffe the slight edge.

Drank a ton of the Franziskaner and Schofferhofer when I was in Berlin this past summer. Paulaner too. About a buck a bottle at the supermarket, even with the week dollar to Euro exchange.

Nothing goes better with a chicken doner than a nice cold German hefeweizen, IMO.

I think ABA is the only beer that looks way cooler than it actually is. I think its alright, but not sublime or anything.

You can do worse than Natty (it's basically just the bottom of the Bud Light vats anyway).  My freshman year was a steady diet of Milwaukee's Best Ice and Golden Anniversary.  Combined with my friends that drank being boring as hell while drunk, I flatout quit drinking entirely for most of the year.

The first beer I ever had and still my favorite at age 36 is Old English 800 in 40oz bottles.  Also enjoy shots of scotch and bourbon.

Still my favorite, will probably have one tonight:

There's some batch variability, so some bottles aren't quite as good as others, but mmmm tasty.

Went on a tour of Brewery Ommegang just last weekend, an impressive place, very serious about their brewing, but small for what they put out.  The free samples were generously flowing.  Ommegang Abbey Ale was my favorite with Three Philosophers a close 2nd.
Every day choice here is Smithwick's or Dos Equis Amber--yes I am the most interesting man in the world.

This one is very good as is most from this brewery.  As a fall back, Blue Moon is awsome, just to be able and get it anywhere.

OE 800 is even better in a 64 oz bottle.

Interesting.  It took me a long time to initially try the beer because I thought it was trying too hard.  But I really like it -- it is my current favorite.  In general, I am a big fan of IPAs & strong ales.
