Welcome to the forums, now you've also got a Tommy Point.

I'd love to see Wade in Green but it's not very likely. I wouldn't give up Rondo for anyone, except maybe LeBron James.

You wouldn't give up Rondo for D Wade?   I would strongly consider giving up Rondo and Ray right now as much as I love them for Wade right now.

Let's see how healthy Wade is this year. If he goes down again, and Rondo improves, it's debatable.

Maybe I am alone, but I don't want D-Whistle's overrated game/ego anywhere in or around Boston.
God bless and good night!

By the end of this year very few C's fans will be talking about trading Rondo-for anyone. DWade is fantastic and if we could get him for Ray and maybe Baby and a pick or something but no way for Ray and Rondo, no way.

I wouldn't do it for Ray and Rondo either.
I'd do it for Ray, House, and Davis.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

If we dropped Rondo/Allen....

D-Wade
Marquis
Pierce
Garnett
Perkins
Wallace
Davis
House
Walker
Allen
Williams
Scalabrine
Giddens
Hudson

Thats a [dang] good team.

Well, at least he acknowledged (or Jackie MacMullen pointed out to him) that the only way it could happen would be in a sign and trade, that would include Rondo.

But as always, Tanguay either has no idea of what he is talking about and has no grasp on the salary cap, or he thinks his readers/viewers will believe anything (which may be the case).

Either way, it is just him trying to bring some more attention to himself.

Chris I agree 100%.

Tanguay is (Charles Barkley voice:) TRRRBLE! Seriously, he's worse than terrible. He's not a credible guy at all, has zero "insiders", and is simply a facilitator of information already available (aka public) or an attention seeking weirdo. Either way I equate him to the Canadian sports media who basically just watch ESPN and then provide a hilarious extremely delayed "breaking news" story.

Tanguay is a joke.

Wow...I have truly always believed that Celtics fans overvalue Rondo and this thread has proved it. I would take Wade over Rondo any day of the week. But why even make that choice? After Ray's contract expires this year, let him walk and pick Wade to replace him. Rondo and Wade could be the best backcourt ever in Celtics history. I don't understand why so many fans here don't want Dwayne Wade. The guy is an amazing player.

Sigh.

Well, add me to the list of people who'd trade Rondo for DWade tomorrow.

Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I like Wade, but I don't really see this happening.

Add me to the very few ... I'd stay with Rondo without question. I'm really a bit tired of the lack of consistency and loyalty within teams these days, and the "made-or-trade" mentality. Wade is without question one of the greatest players alive, but when rebuilding a "Dynasty", you have to give more consideration to the future ... and I gurantee you that Rage will be one of the elite point guards for the next generation in the NBA ... and frankly, I don't want to pull another Chauncy Billups faux-pas. Let's try and hang on to the core we have and keep ramping it up for the years to come ... D-Wade is amazing, but he won't be around for another 10 or 15 like Rondo will. By the way, this is my first post in like 2 years ... I really missed you guys! (Maybe I'll go un-noticed, hehe).

and that will be dumb as hell, as you can see LeCrab can't win, so how can you say you'll gave half roster of championship team
Good thing we didn't make the trade for KG, giving up half our roster and a young big man for him.

Kevin "Garnnot" just can't win.

Wait....... ::)

Exactly.. trust me I don't like Lebron as a person, but I at least recognize that'd he'd be a major upgrade regardless of how you worked that trade.

I really do think the Celtics can make a run at D-Wade, but not in the offseason.  Their only real hope is to do it via sign & trade mid-season involving Ray Allen and pieces.  I'd be for it.
