Of course if everyone used scrolling text we'd never know who's who.  Or we could enforce the ultimate torture and not allow anonymous Edgar to use scrolling text.  It'd be like taking the bone away from the dog though.

Or when placing votes for regular season seeding, each voter will state the amount of games each of the first 8 teams will win in the regular season. Then when the votes are tallied HCA in the Finals are determined by who won the most regular season game votes, a number that could be a lot less likely to tie.

Also this same system could be used to determine seeding ties instead of having run off votes where the criteria changes and suddenly five teams are changing their vote.

I think allowing people to weight their votes by wins either in the regular season or playoff series (as in 4-0 or 4-1 etc.) is a bad idea.

It'd allow people to tank individual teams a ton if they wanted to. Giving their vote more force than it should.
