  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
And please, please, a limit on scrolling text messages and putting stuff in colors that colorblind people have no chance of reading.

A handful of people have commented that the scrolling text bothers them.  Can I ask why?  If it's a post just meant for fun, why can't people ignore them?

Most of the criticisms of the draft I've understood, but I just don't get that one.  If Edgar (or whoever) wants to scroll to his heart's content, I think he should be able to.  Personally, it cracks me up; it's kind of his "thing".
They give me migraine headaches.

Seriously, I'm not kidding.

I'm on line doing work or reading or on CB all the time and as long as I watch what I eat  my migraines are fine.(No chocolate, caffeine, etc.) But something about trying to read a post while having that scrolling text or pictures on the screen at the same time just triggers them after a while.

During the draft I tried to read just about every post as you never know what someone was advertising but the scrolling text was giving me migraines so bad that it took me days to get rid of them.
That sucks Nick. I have a brother and a GF who get migranes so I know how bad they can be.

But I don't think we should be telling people how they should format their posts beyond the general CB rules.
Nor do I.

But Roy asked why people were asking for them to be limited. Some may just have had personal preferences being the reason, I had a legitimate reason. I did find a way to limit the exposure of them by editing the size of the window I had Firefox open in though.

But at first, it was very, very bothersome.

To be honest, I agree with Nick. I'm not saying they should be banned, but I honestly kinda got headaches too. I don't think they should be banned, but Nick I definitely sympathize with your position as I hated the scrolling text as well.

Edgar, mi amigo. I think you're awesome.

But I hate the scrolling text, if only that it teams 20 seconds something that would normally take me 5.

The alliances I was referring to is the "I'll vote for your team if you vote for mine." that went on leading up to the CF. Those numbers were different, my attempt was to show the potential bias and/or flaw that exists in our game. Roy I believe you have a strong influence.

Maybe they're out there, but I'm not a part of one, and if the evil diabolical genuis commonly referred to as Roy Hobbs formed an axis of evil

Roy Hobbs should have been added to the Axis of Evil and someone should have alerted George(Will Ferrell).

Wanna know how many Mods voted for my team in the playoffs? 2. Me, and wdleehi.

How many mods voted for me to win my division? 0.

How many mods voted for me to have the 4th seed? a few, maybe. But seriously I think its closer to 2.

These talks about alliances and treaties and back room deals or whatever, its annoying. Maybe they're out there, but I'm not a part of one, and if the evil diabolical genuis commonly referred to as Roy Hobbs formed an axis of evil, I haven't heard about it. In fact, I bet no one has heard about it, because it doesn't exist.

These paranoia scenarios are a good way to ruin a good game. One thing I would really like to see next year is if all 30 GM's approach the game from the stand point that its a freaking game, and not worth the risk of heart attack that goes with the stress some of the GM's have put on themselves over the past 3 weeks.

Yeah, I'm not trying to be a jerk but I think there is a small bias going on. I also think it's natural and don't blame anyone or target anyones integrity. My question is: how can we eliminate it?

Buff - 13
Portland - 10

Having judges might be a decent start.

So you're saying the staff voted for Roy Hobbs because he's staff?

The marginal 13-10 advantage could just as easily represent an anti-staff bias of some degree, given that I could give a crap who wins this, but clearly liked Portland's team better.

I just took a look at the rosters, and Buffalo wouldn't stand a chance IMO.

Maybe Buffalo should have had a better team?  No offense rebus I think your team was really good, I just liked Portlands better, I am very confident that if the majority of people thought your team was better you would have won.  I dont think there was any shadyness going on.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Here's how you eliminate bias in the future.

Randomly assign team names to owners.  Keep the identities of the owners anonymous except to the commissioner.  Have picks submitted by PMs to the Commissioner.  Do not reveal the owners until after the entire process is over.

Interesting. But how would one make trades?

Could never happen. Ever. The advertising, hyping and trading would be impossible.

Another way to eliminate bias is by not playing in the game if you have such a problem with it.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Allow owners second CB accounts under their team names to be used exclusively for draft purposes?

Of course snoopy owners to look at IP addresses or emails or what not...
Yup
