With you up to Scal.
Most Likely (since Indy won’t take TA and we’ll need the LLE for Daniels)
13) TA
14) Hudson or Marbury
15) Swift (Danny’s binky)
With a mid-season trade of TA, Scal and someone from House/Giddens/Walker for a good bench player on a longer contract.
This isn’t a bad situation since it still gives Danny the chance to combine TA, Scal and another contract or two for a good bench player like Nocioni at the trade deadline. Adding Nocioni to Sheed, Daniels, Davis and possibly Marbury off the bench would make a title a lock.
Possible scenario
Up to Davis
10) Giddens or Walker (whichever isn’t moved in a S&T with Indy for Daniels)
11) Scal (would last the year since he doesn’t provide enough value by himself to make a good trade at the deadline)
12) Marbury
13) Bowen
14) Hudson
15) Swift
Ideally, both Giddens and Walker will step it up in camp and show they deserve some minutes and Hudson shows some promise. If they can make House expendable where he can be included with TA and Scal to get Nocioni (or Battier or someone of that caliber that’s not another wing) that would be the perfect scenario but that would mean someone developed a solid jumper.
Next year the bench would have to be rebuilt after Sheed. Daniels would need to be signed for bigger money. Davis is a UFA and would most likely be gone. Scal is expiring and should not be brought back (if he’s not traded by then). House is expiring but with any luck, maybe Hudson becomes his replacement. Only Giddens and/or Walker would probably be left since Danny probably won’t keep both—whoever’s left will have either shown their NBA-ready for next year or be cast off like Pruitt.
