Entering the season, I would guess

KG
Pierce
Ray
Rondo
Perk
Wallace
House
Daniels
Davis
Bowens
Scali
Walker
Swift
JR

I think there will be one open roster spot to add a player later.

no tony allen..i like it

Why Swift? He showed nothing this summer. Fazekas was a better rebounder / scorer.

Ainge's man crush.

I figured trade.

if they can move TA there is literally no reason to not sign Leon. they will need to add some mea culpas to squash any hard feelings that might exist, but there are just no players out there that you can sign for the minimum that can even sniff Leon.

bury the hatchet Danny and keep Leon from going to CLE or ORL....

Moving Tony is easier said than done.

Also if the Celtic's medical staff don't think Powe can contribute this year, that's a big reason not to bring him back.

not to mention that spots 12 - 15 are often "gamble" spots for youngsters and 2nd chance players.

if swift actually recovers from having bad knees, he will be a good nba player. fazekas, at his best, doesnt offer much to the celtics.

but i would still prefer to see powe and hudson on the final roster.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

1)Rondo
2)Ray
3)Pierce
4)Garnett
5)Perkins
6)Rasheed
7)House
8)Marquis
9)B.B. Davis
10)Giddens
11)Walker
12)Scalabrine
13)Bowen
14)?Point-Guard?
15)?Center?

With you up to Scal.

Most Likely (since Indy won’t take TA and we’ll need the LLE for Daniels)
13) TA
14) Hudson or Marbury
15) Swift  (Danny’s binky)
With a mid-season trade of TA, Scal and someone from House/Giddens/Walker for a good bench player on a longer contract.
This isn’t a bad situation since it still gives Danny the chance to combine TA, Scal and another contract or two for a good bench player like Nocioni at the trade deadline.   Adding Nocioni to Sheed, Daniels, Davis and possibly Marbury off the bench would make a title a lock.

Possible scenario
Up to Davis
10) Giddens or Walker (whichever isn’t moved in a S&T with Indy for Daniels)
11) Scal  (would last the year since he doesn’t provide enough value by himself to make a good trade at the deadline)
12) Marbury
13) Bowen
14) Hudson
15) Swift

Ideally, both Giddens and Walker will step it up in camp and show they deserve some minutes and Hudson shows some promise.  If they can make House expendable where he can be included with TA and Scal to get Nocioni (or Battier or someone of that caliber that’s not another wing) that would be the perfect scenario but that would mean someone developed a solid jumper.

Next year the bench would have to be rebuilt after Sheed.  Daniels would need to be signed for bigger money.  Davis is a UFA and would most likely be gone.  Scal is expiring and should not be brought back (if he’s not traded by then). House is expiring but with any luck, maybe Hudson becomes his replacement.  Only Giddens and/or Walker would probably be left since Danny probably won’t keep both—whoever’s left will have either shown their NBA-ready for next year or be cast off like Pruitt.

ok- my 2 cents worth
Rondo - Marbury
Allen - House
Pierce - Daniels
KG - BBD
Perk - Sheed

Assuming we lose TA and Walker in the Daniels trade
Keep Hudson and Giddens in the DL
I say we keep Scal and Swift.  Don't give up on Leon, when he comes back, cut Swift and trade Scal at the deadline.
