Yes all the way up to Bowen, however I would give his spot to Powe. He will likely contribute more than Bowen would this year, even if it is the last few months of the season. Let the guy heal through March and then see if he can come back. If not and we have a team option for the 2nd year it doesn't hurt us. Then sign Marbury and then some big guy with potential. Take a flier on Swift, or even give that last spot to Mikki as far as I am concerned. They won't see floor time unless we get a couple bigs injured.

I would switch Giddens and Bowen. I do agree to pick back up Powe as a big for late season and post season. As for PG, go with Bobby Jackson or Tyron Lue, as vets to sit most of the season to cover injuries or play in playoffs if needed.
Can't stop, Rondo!

1- Pierce
2- KG
3- Ray
4- Rondo
5- Perk
6- Sheed
7- Daniels
8- Davis
9- Scal
10- House
11- Marbury (a)
12- Giddens
13- Walker
14- Hudson (b)
15- Swift

(a) If Marbury doesn't sign, Mike Taylor could be real intriguing as Rondo's backup.

(b) Hudson may not have a roster spot if Danny decides to go with a vet like Bowen.

Will we even use all of our roster spots? Bill Simmond's podcast reminded me how the Suns usually kept 13 players to save money, he claimed almost every team would be doing that this year.

I know Lester Hudson hasn't been able to impress with his injury
which could hurt getting a spot on our team.  I'm not in thrilled we have Swift on our summer league team with talk he'll
be our 15th player.

Scott Pollard was better than Swift, and that's a bad Center.

I would be ecstatic if that ended up being the roster.

The C's have already moved on from Powe.
Little Fockers 1.5/10
Gulliver's Travels 1/10
Grown Ups -20/10
Tron Legacy 6.5/10

We are assuming Tony Allen won't be on the roster but who will take Tony straight up in deal after coming off his latest surgery?   I don think it will happen right now with the Pacers unless if we include Walker and/or Giddens however their roster is close to being full.  I don't think Bird will take just Tony in a straight sign and trade deal for Daniels.   So if we sign  Daniels for the LLE it leaves 2 roster (assuming BBD is back) spots and I don't see us signing Bowen then.  However if we do this say as a sign and trade with Allen and or Walker/Giddens then I would see us pursuing Bowen at that time but I just have a hunch we are going to sign Daniels with the LLE.

So with these 2 roster spots I see a vet min PG fighting it out with Hudson for one of the roster spots.  Then I wouldn't be surprised if the other roster spot is for another big like Swift although I would be pulling for Powe.

Our depth would look like

C Perk, Wallace, Swift or someone else
PF KG, BBD, Scal
SF PP, Daniels, Walker
SG R Allen, T Allen, Giddens
PG Rondo, House, vet or Hudson

What's nice is several of these backups can play more than 1 position so it provides great flexibility.

Then we hold onto our expiring contract for later on Allen and Scal for a midseason trade (Battier, Nocioni or whoever else).

I think finding a traditional PG is less important having Daniels on the team.  It is an imperfect situation because it can be a defensive nightmare if you have a smallish PG with House in the game at the same time.

Taylor has a lot of potential.

Entering the season, I would guess

KG
Pierce
Ray
Rondo
Perk
Wallace
House
Daniels
Davis
Bowens
Scali
Walker
Swift
JR

I think there will be one open roster spot to add a player later.

I think they will sign another PG before the season starts, even if its just an emergency guy like Lue.

I think it depends on how this whole Marquis Daniels situation works out.  If there's a trade involved, Giddens or Walker is likely gone and potentially someone else.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I think we will sign one more player for the vet min, then wait until teams are cashed strapped at the deadline to do a 2 for one deal in which TA and Scal get moved. Scal would then be bought out and come back.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Why Swift? He showed nothing this summer. Fazekas was a better rebounder / scorer.
