In unrelated news, The Memphis Grizzlies have changed their name to "The European Union", thus angering everyone in the state of Tennessee who knew they had a professional basketball team. So, all 7 of their fans.

Wait, KCattheStripe you were a GM in this thing? Well hot dog, I did not know that. I assumed all this talk about the "grizzlies" was about the impending bear invasion.

In unrelated news to Memphis' name change, I just posted my vote for Philly. I went through and read a few of the breakdowns but not the full 7 pages of posts. sorry.

here's my reasoning:

-- Baron Davis and Carmelo Anthony are players who can take over a game and win it, repeatedly.

-- I love KG as much as anyone on this board, but I think it's clear that he's at his absolute best when he has 1 dominant and 1 very good offensive player taking the load off him so he can be MONSTER KG (Pierce & Allen; Cassell & Spreewell).  I cannot put Andre Miller and Ron Artest in that category anymore. Maybe 2 years ago they could squeak by, but they've each lost 1/2 a step.

-- Z is not the player he once was. I think by the end of the year, he and Bynum will be close to passing each other in the opposite directions (bynum improivng, Z declining).

both teams did a great job building the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the East  ;) --- congrats to both Kwhit10 and Rondo2278.

Good to see yet another GM admitting that the DC Boxers were the East's best team.

What's that? He meant his own team? Oh!!

Ummmmmm. Nevermind!

It is clear Buffalo suffered from an anti-Canadian bias in the voting.  ;D

Alright guys, im back vote Toronto, its the cool thing to do, and we have a better bench and experience

And I really think Finleys championship experience is being discounted here.

Between All of his starters only one of them has played in the NBA Finals.  2 of mine have.  And then two more on my bench have.  While all but Garcia have have had playoff experience.

Between anthony parker, okafor, balkman, pargo, how many of them have played in meaningful games.  Let alone game 7 on the road with the finals on the line which would probably be what the series comes down too.

The fact that this matchup is so heavily contested right now i think points in the direction that my teams significant playoff experience will come into play in my favor.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

I was in Philadelphia today, and saw a (very odd, older) woman wearing a "Philly" hat and a Portland Trail Blazers jacket.  I wonder if that's any sort of sign . . .

So what happens if there is yet another tie? A Monday runoff followed by a Tuesday Finals?
