  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Also, IP, am I reading it correctly that you only have *one* big man on you bench taller than 6'6"?

You understand our strategy is just going to be to feed the post on literally every possession, right?  Your big men will be fouled out in 8 minutes.

That is the biggest flaw I think my team has. Your team's size matches up really well against my personell. Chuck Hayes is a heckuva defender but he can't keep Shaq from going where he wants to go. Neither can Darko. That is truth. Darko can maybe dukes it out with Brad Miller or JO (but unless his play improves, which it might not..he can't handle those guys either).

The rest of your argument....I feel it is shortsighted.

Well, it took you awhile, but you conceded.  If Shaq is healthy, you can't match up with us.  8)

No need to argue the rest (although we're right there, too.)

We'll feed the post all day and all night, and if we get bored with that, we'll have Manu drive into the heart of the defense.  Your 6'6" bigs don't scare us.

Well lets not pretend that Shaq is 2001 Shaq. This is a guy who gets 20 quality mins per night.

But yes, although I like Chuck Hayes, he can't D up Shaq.

And Rondo? I can't believe you're selling Rondo short. I'm not MikeD or anything but come on. Rondo is a borderline allstar that is better than any 1 player you have outside of Rashard Lewis.

True, but let's not underrate the man, either.

He played 30 minutes per game, and led the entire NBA in shooting, at 60.9%.  That was a career high.

We should probably take this to a non-draft thread, but no, that's just not true.  Rondo is a developing player, who had a very good first five games of the playoffs.  He's also very inconsistent, and is a very, very poor shooter (the 2nd worst among starting PGs, and the worst among non-rookies.)

Those arguments are well-documented elsewhere on this site.  He's a good player, but not a great one.  He's not in the same class of player yet as, say, Manu Ginobili.

I think we'll have to disagree. I'd argue that Manu's health issues match Rondo's inconsistencies.

Probably an arena we will revisit however.
