i think he'd be an excellent fit for the Celtics coming off the bench behind Pierce and KG. unfortunately, there seems to be a belief on this board that Baby would be a poor fit in Memphis, and I can't really argue with that.

So the question is, what would Memphis accept? Would TA, Walker, and a pick be enough? And because they're under the cap, does that make his BYC status different in terms of what they have to take back?

It's Chris Wallace, so anything from a case of beer and a second round pick to Ray, Rondo and two first round picks is possible.  Just depends what kind of crazy he is tonight.   ;)

Hakim's game is nice,but I don't think he's a guy we want...or rather a guy we need.

It would def mean no bbd or leon for sure.

Because I watch too many Grizzlies games to be at all interested in their 7th best player. And before you ask:

1) Rudy
2)OJ
3)Zach Randolph
4)Gasol
5) Conley Jr
6)Darrell Arthur

I'd rather have Warrick than BBD

Arthur over Warrick huh? Im not sure that's warranted.

Warrick is a semi decent scoring PF who doesn't (not can't) rebound. Arthur is a tough as nails PF who rebounds and D's up better. Hack is a wildly inconsistent player who isn't good defensively and is a below average rebounder and shot blocker despite his athleticism.

It means the Celtics can do much better than the 7th best player on a 24 win team.

since you watch alot of memphis games you're probably aware thet their coaching, locker room, and attitude towards winning is a joke. maybe coach the lad? think cliff ray might help? or KG? considering they have no SGs whatsoever, I'd bet TA and JRG plus cash might be a deal they'd consider.

as the prclaimed 7th man, he can hardly be blamed for their losses. and if they can do much better on the current free agent market i'm all ears on who we'd get.

I love Warrick. I feel as though he doesn't have the confidence in the NBA to be as explosive as he was in College.

He can't be blamed for their losses, but his position in the rotation is a prime example of what is to blame for those losses : A lack of talent. And no, I don't think Clifford Ray or KG can really help, the same way they didn't help PJ. The guy has to want it. Say what you will about Perk, Leon and Baby's physical limitations but all three want to be great players. Yes, Clifford Ray is a great coach but even he can't do a heart transplant.

If you want to do the same type of trade for Arthur, I wouldn't be against it. But Hack is an inconsistant weak willed player, the kind that would get tossed in the griss mill in Boston.

two bits of nonsense:

1) i thought your arguement was a lack of effort, not talent. to say warrick isn't talented enough to be in the Cs rotation is the first;

2) as for heart, the guy played with alot of it at 'cuse. he now plays with the worst organization in the NBA. labeling him lazy or a loser because his team plays every game lazy and loses is the second.

a change of scenery is often the remedy for a lot of guys. i don't buy that warrick isn't capable of playing hard, and playing better d. and if he doesn't it's only at the risk of a 3, 4 mil dollar deal anyway...
