The Toronto Raptors select
Aaron Brooks
and
Big  Z
I'm not going to spell out his name you  know who it is

Truly interesting picks, here.  I would have liked to see Toronto get a slightly younger (and more healthy) center.  Z has lost a lot of his mobility, and can't defend any more.

Brooks, I like.  I wonder about fit, though; that team could really use a PG who distributes the ball, and that's not Brooks at this point.

bulls select raja bell

This pick I like.   I think for the Bulls to win this year, they will be best served starting Bell, but using the other SG plenty off the bench.

yes it was the obvious pick if we stayed. For depth purposes we tried to get two picks.

Good pick.... yes.
Very good pick.... OK, maybe
Obvious?..... no.

Well I said vet shooting guard. Not an old sf like wally Peja

I both players and would have had them on my list (if they fit my need at the time)

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Brooks and Z were good picks.  Z is more than a solid rotation big for next year.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I like Big Z. They have an excellent big man rotation now. Their back court is sketchy though.

im not gonna get baited into an arguement here, especially by someone who is unaware of the age difference between Peja and Raja Bell.  You took a defender and i took a scorer. pretty much as simple as that.

I took a defender who can shoot. I didn't want another sf. You thought you were funny with your jokes of getting my guy. It would have been if you took Bell. But even then I would have taken a big I wanted.

I think Brooks is a decent distributor, a drive and dish guy. People didn't come help on him quick enough last year so he just went to the hole. Now that they know he's a threat big men will be looking to drop off their guy to  help, I think he has the makings of a great NBA point.
I feel that both Arenas and Brooks can play at the same time because Toronto has Camby  and  KG to  erase anything near the basket, this  will allow Brooks and Gilbert to get under people and really bother them.
As far as Big Z is concerned he was  the best available player by both the 82games.com roland rating and nba per (excluding Yao). He has problems playing defense because he is getting old, but he still is a center who can help, clog the lane and has a deadly jumper.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Boston Celtics Select: Leandro Barbosa

Great 6th man, offensive weapon off the bench.

He was inserted into the starting lineup last season and thrived. His hybrid skills and shooting ability are exactly what this team needs in the half-court set with the ball in Wades hands. Barbosa is also an active defender and possibly the fastest player in the league.

We believe that Both big Z and Brooks are great fits for our team.  Brooks is a young PG who carried his team at points in the playoffs last year.  Big Z although not too quick anymore is far better than most bigs still available or bigs coming off the bench so far in this league.  He still averaged 13 points 7.5 boards and over a block a game.  Also his ability to hit the outside shot will make him valuable because he can come off the bench and do what Kg does which is stretch the floor.

As a result, we are moving Gilbert to the shooting guard and allowing Brooks to run the point
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

So

Barbosa, starting PG of a half court offense?

Not so great of a pick now.

Gilbert Arenas gave him a ride.  On his back.  That's how healthy he is.
