We believe that Both big Z and Brooks are great fits for our team.  Brooks is a young PG who carried his team at points in the playoffs last year.  Big Z although not too quick anymore is far better than most bigs still available or bigs coming off the bench so far in this league.  He still averaged 13 points 7.5 boards and over a block a game.  Also his ability to hit the outside shot will make him valuable because he can come off the bench and do what Kg does which is stretch the floor.

As a result, we are moving Gilbert to the shooting guard and allowing Brooks to run the point
[dang] do you live 5 minutes away from work? How did you get back so quick?

Gilbert Arenas gave him a ride.  On his back.  That's how healthy he is.

(giggling at my desk....TP)

I took a defender who can shoot. I didn't want another sf. You thought you were funny with your jokes of getting my guy. It would have been if you took Bell. But even then I would have taken a big I wanted.

yeah i thought someone had said you wanted Peja but apparently it was just speculation.  i just thought the situation itself was funny if in fact it was true.

but just for clarification's sake, raja bell is actually a year older then peja.  Raja looks a hell of a lot younger than peja though, especially when pej has that scruffy Euro-beard going.

Peja has injury issues and didn't shoot well last year. Also you get little D from him. I like the pick of Bell better. (Psst, JR, do I get my TP now?  ;D)

Not to mention that Bell would be a better fit with the small running team.  (see his time in Phoenix)

Boston Celtics Select: Leandro Barbosa

Great 6th man, offensive weapon off the bench.

He was inserted into the starting lineup last season and thrived. His hybrid skills and shooting ability are exactly what this team needs in the half-court set with the ball in Wades hands. Barbosa is also an active defender and possibly the fastest player in the league.

So

Barbosa, starting PG of a half court offense?

Not so great of a pick now.

The ball is in Wades hands in the half-court set while Barbosa spreads the floor with his 3 point ability (he almost turns into a 2 guard). He's also lightning fast in transition. Him and Wade make up a great defensive and offensive back court. I'm excited.

funny you should say he didn't shoot well...by who's standards? his i guess...

it was only the 2nd time in the last 7 years he shot under 40% from 3, and he still shot a very reasonable 38%.

Just wanted to say ---- great first 5 rounds everyone.

The ORLANDO MAGICS hold the 6th pick on Monday and might be inclined to move down some.... so shoot me or Lucky17 a PM this weekend and we can talk (no trades official till 6 pm Sunday though i believe).

Have a great weekend and Ubuntu!

4th in NBA history in free-throw percentage at .8944
4th in NBA history in 3-pointers made with 1,571
6th in NBA playoff history in free-throw percentage at .903
10th in NBA history in 3-pointers attempted with 3,904
23rd in NBA history in 3-point field goal percentage at .402

Raja is a good player, i'll give you that, but i'll take my chances at pick 143 with one of the best pure shooters we've ever seen.

How old are you?   I will give you one TP for every year.

As for weekend picks, they will just frustrate you.  No one will be on to talk.  And there is always someone early in round that just does not show up for the whole weekend.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Looking for a penetrating guard who can get to the line, score in spurts, see some minutes at the point if necessary, and occasionally even play defense (not technically part of his contract) the Cleveland Cavaliers select

Jamal Crawford
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I like the skills but...

the man is always on a losing team.  What's that about?
