We're going to pass up the best player available, and pick a better fit for our team:  Delonte West.

Better for your team or for Edgar's man crush?  ;D ;D

I knew that one was coming, despite the depth at SG already.

Was thinking of grabbing him to back up Hinrich for us. Not a bad pick.

Yep, we're going for doubles, not home runs at this point.

This pick I like.   I think for the Bulls to win this year, they will be best served starting Bell, but using the other SG plenty off the bench.

yes it was the obvious pick if we stayed. For depth purposes we tried to get two picks.

Both.

Delonte is a hustle player and a good "glue" guy.  He'll also be a viable backup PG for us.

It helps, of course, that my co-GM will now swoon. ;)

BTW, nice pick, of course.

Another of my guys from last year (6.13) taken earlier... the worst part is not getting  to see 100 posts from Edgar offering Eddy Curry for Delonte  ;D

i wish someone had told me Peja "sucks."  We may not have drafted him.

I like Peja at this point.  He can still be a major threat from the outside but...

Is he a good fit for the speed the rest of your team seems to be playing at?

C: Hawes / Miller
PF: J. O'Neal
SF: Rashard
SG: Redd / Ginobili
PG: Bibby / West

Rashard will backup PF for now, and Redd and Manu can play SF.  Delonte will also see minutes at the 2.

I like Foster.  He's another good role player, who is a rebounding machine.

Is he a good fit for the speed the rest of your team seems to be playing at?

Is he ideal for a fast breaking team? no.

BUT

when i think about what you want from a bench, i think about late game situations and what those situations call for.  Typically there are 4 types of players you want to be able to go to in a time of need -- ball handling, 3 pt/free throw shooting, man defense, and rebounding.

Peja is a one dimentional player, but what he brings is the ability to keep your team in any game.  We're talking about a guy who, 2 years ago, shot almost 45% from 3!!! that's insane!!

at pick 143 i think you cant ask for more then a guy who is one of the best shooters of our generation.
