Couldn't be around to make my pick today, but thank you to Rondo2287 for taking care of that for me.

Anyway, the Detroit Pistons were extremely happy to pick up a guy that averaged over 20 ppg last year. Al Harrington will be huge off the bench in helping to back up Wallace and Amare. He could even go in for Dalembert, pushing Amare to the 5.

C: Dalembert
PF: Amare
SF: G Wallace
SG: Rip
PG: Mo Williams
6: Al Harrington

I'm liking how my team's looking so far.

Sorry I missed my pick, I had to fill in for my friend at work. I tried to connect to the internet using my phone but it just wasn't loading for whatever reason.

Utah Jazz select Mike Dunleavy

I like that pick a lot.  Yes, he was injured last season, but he's been healthy his entire career up until that point.  He's one of the few guys capable of scoring 20 per night left out there.

Yeah, but he can't play until January, can he?

I haven't heard that.

Not bad, CFF.  Any concerns, though, that three of your top six have effort issues (Amare, Dalembert, and Harrington?)  Plus, Mo has a huge mouth.  I see chemistry as a concern in your locker room.

Not really worried. Once they realize they're on a team that has a legit chance at competing for the title, im confident they will all get their acts together and play hard.

That was the report, but I've read speculation he'd be back late November/early December, so I took a gamble.  They're plenty of good guards left that can fill in for 20 games or so that I wouldn't mind having.

He recently said that he's resumed workouts and is going about 75%.  I thought about picking him up, but after his back and forth prognosis last year, it's a risk.  Nice pickup though.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Per TeleMadrid it looks like Ricky Rubio has signed on to play for Real madrid for the next two years.

Ole!

Where's that recap? Two more rounds, and I don't know what to think because no one has told me! haha

Seriously they were entertaining though.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I don't think it hurts Indiana *that* much.  They're going for a "team of future" look, and I think Rubio will really help them down the line.  Getting a bit of seasoning will only help his game, and when he comes over, he'll still be on a rookie deal.

True but how does it help their team this year when he won't be in the NBA this year? This isn't a keeper league and since he won't be in the NBA doesn't that basically void him from their roster? It's true it doesn't hurt that much to a Future team but how can we judge how good a foreign player will be in the NBA if he never plays here. Juan Carlos Navarro and a bunch of other foreign STARS, I mean big stars overseas, never became more than role players in the NBA or worse. It's as hit or miss as it is with college players, sometimes worse.

Well, there are two criteria when we judge these teams:  "win now" or "team of the future".  Obviously, since Rubio isn't playing this year, he's useless to a "win now" team.  To a future-oriented team, though, holding the draft rights to Rubio goes into the voting, I would imagine.

You're correct that this isn't a "keeper league", to the extent we'll start over again next year.   However, GMs are supposed to be putting these teams together like they would an actual team, with the idea that the NBA won't spontaneously end after this season.  Toward that end, it sometimes makes sense to draft guys on potential, and other times to draft guys who won't even play this year.

It's of course tough to judge how good Rubio will be, but no tougher in my mind than any of the other rookies.

I want to suggest that we be able to pick anytime during the weekend, but our pick  is not due until the allotted time. If I need to make an argument for it, here it is : Saturday is my birthday.

How old are you?   I will give you one TP for every year.

As for weekend picks, they will just frustrate you.  No one will be on to talk.  And there is always someone early in round that just does not show up for the whole weekend.
I just turned 23, it hurts a little bit to say.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think a team like Indiana will like be forced to trade him.  He doesn't want to come over to a city like Indianapolis.  And as long as Euro teams in cities he likes will pay him, he doesn't come over to such a town.  (this is why I took him off my list, I don't see him coming to Denver either)
