Portland is pretty pumped.  We had three targets coming into the round, and walked away with those three players.

C: Hawes
PF: O'Neal
SF: Rashard
SG: Redd
PG: Bibby

6th man:  Manu

Although Manu plays better off the bench, Rashard is best at the four where he creates match up problems. This works defensively with the magic because if a 4 comes in the paint Howard erases there shot.

We have a ton of flexibility, which we like.  Redd can play the three, O'Neal can play the five, and Rashard goes between either position.

Incidentally, Orlando apparently feels the exact opposite:  one of the reasons they let Hedu go is because they prefer Rashard at small forward.

Me and Hobbs still have an issue on who start at SG
but its a nice issue to have... ;D
I would Start both move Lewiss to the four and it's bombs away.

There's that option, too, with Jermaine coming off the bench.

We'll beat that offer.  We have 6s, 7s, and 8ths that could be on the block for the right deal.

there should be waiting music on during the break. I suggest Stealers Wheel, Stuck in the Middle to start things off.

Hobbs and Edgar are forming a very unhealthy team. Redd, Manu and now Jermaine? 3 players that played under 100 games combined last season. ( I'm pretty sure anyway)

what are the chances that all 3 are healthy all year? chances don't seem great.

See, people can believe myths, or look at facts.  O'Neal played in 68 games last season (and the last two he sat out were when Miami was resting its starters before the playoffs).

We're pretty happy with our team, which now has five all-stars... if it was 2003

I fixed it for you Roy  ;)

Flamingo's are pretty happy with their team so far, considering our pick location in this draft and philosophy..

between

Pg/sg: eric gordon
SF: ariza
PF: AV
C: Beasley

we have a team that plays good defense, is young and talented, Can contend in our division (we believe) and hunt for a 8-6th seed.

and, most importantly,  all our guys should catch the eyes of contending teams looking to knock out the other people with powerhouses in write ups as we look to do a good one about our future, and thus should allow us to be active facilitators in the post draft trade market.

If one of our 4 targets is there when we pick again this round, we'll be very happy.

Side Note: The flamingo's have already received alot of interest from teams on our players as additions to their squads rotations as game changers off the bench.

We would like to clarify, since we have turned them down, that this is NOT in anyway indicative of a hands off stance.

The flamingo's simply prefer to wait until more players are off the board until they go into facilitator mode. Rest assured, the players you are asking for ARE on the market, just not at this time.

Thanks,

The management :D

We'll see.  This is why I'm glad we're re-examining teams at the six month mark.  That way, when many of you are proven wrong, you'll have to admit it.  :D

Also, D. Wade and Nene have had their own share of injury issues, as I recall, and Odom has motor problems.  I remember some proverb about glass houses and tossing stones around.

We'll offer a 6th.

6(12), 7(3), 8(11), 8(15) are available in some sort of combination for the right deal.

The picks I missed.

I don't like Martin, but is a good pick at that point.

I like sessons because of his potential and because he plays one of the harder positions to fill

I don't get Hawes.  He is not old.  He does shoot threes.  How does he fit that team?  ;)

Denver has two high 6 (3,4) and two 7s.

Would be willing to give up 2 of those picks to move up.

PM me.

So, is Denver clearly in the lead for "team of the future"?  I've got to think so.
