  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
By the way, a Hill/House backcourt means some tough work for Thibs and the frontcourt behind them.  That's not gonna be the quickest defensive unit ever.
Sheed raises the level of the benches defense though.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

if they can secure hill...i would love to get baby back...then find a point guard on the cheap

Yeah, if they sign Hill I guess that is the big question:

Who is the back-up PG?

I'm hoping the answer isn't Tyron Lue!

If Hill is signed I think the backup PG will be House. I'd rather have him over Lue, Bobby Jackson, Anthony Carter, etc. There just aren't any good affordable FA PGs out there.

And the roster would be too stacked to give Marbury the minutes needed to keep him happy.

Is Steve Francis retired? Is Earl Watson a free agent?  Can we trade for Antonio Daniels....only other options I see though, I wouldn't mind Bobby Jackson....I don't think

Gary_Tanguay - A league source tells me that Grant Hill is now considering his options. Those options are Boston, NY and possibly Phoenix.

It's less scary when you think of it as 33 or 34.  He's played about as many games as most guys of his caliber who are 33 or 34.

I'm hoping the answer isn't Tyron Lue!

If they sign Hill, I think Eddie is the backup PG, with Hill having primary ball-handling responsibilities on the second unit.

Roy-
do they just keep pruitt then? or do they let him walk

In that scenario, they could go a couple of different ways.  They could bring back Pruitt, or they could also sign an "emergency" point guard, like Lue or Lindsey Hunter.

What about the wear and tear of injuries and surgery?

I think Hill mitigates the lack of playmaking PG off the bench.  Sure Grant isn't going to run the point, but he's very comfortable and capable with the ball.  With Sheed as an option on the post, or an outlet behind the 3pt line or as a screener, and Hill as another big target who can shoot or handle, the pressure on House and whoever Doc decides to play out of TA, JR, Walker and Scal is dramatically reduced.
House of course would still have a fair amount of handling responsibilities, but I think he's capable.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler
