I wouldn't be surprised if the Celtics are trying to work out a sign and trade with Phoenix. Something like giving Grant Hill a 2 year deal starting at $5.0 million and give Phoenix Tony Allen and Bill Walker. If Grant Hill is sold on the Celtics then working with Phoenix to try to get more money is the only thing that would take time.

Maybe he really can't decide.

If Grant Hill signs with the Knicks I will go to MSG and give him a swirly.

Here's what I do if the can't sign Hill and the other options don't look any good.  Re-sign Baby and hold onto TA and Scal with an eye towards packaging two or more of them in Feb. to get the depth you need for the playoffs.  If Baby gets a one year deal then he and TA would be expiring, am I correct?

I'm not sure Grant is worth 5 mill...maybe 3 or so.  But not 5.  I doubt the money is the issue.

Is it just me, but doesnt the number 37 associated with Grant Hill just scare the hell out of you.

He should wear number 37.

another "over the hill" player that turned out good.

Harrison was not "over the hill" when the Pats acquired him. Rodney was only 30 when he joined the Pats in the Spring of 2003.  He was a salary cap casualty for the San Diego Chargers.  Apples and oranges man.

then how come nobody else in the league signed him?
There were 3 teams interested in him.  He chose the Pats over the Broncos and Raiders.  He was in demand man.  He chose the Pats because of the Genius.

But we digress....

Rodney Harrison himself has said that the league thought he was done. that he couldn't play anymore. Thats why he had that moment with Bill after the super bowl.

"thanks for beleiving in me when noone else did"

Rodney is always playing the lack of respect card man.  if teh league thought he was done then why would 3 teams have been fighting for his services?  He actually took less money to come to New England.

Why would Phx want those guys on their payroll? They can get cheaper guys than TA.

We would have to actually give them something valuable, like a draft pick or a lot of cash.

Under no circumstance should the Celts give him 2 years when the guy is 37.  Thats just bad business.  Offer him the LLE and say the offer stands till COB Friday.  If he doesnt accept then you say thanks for listening and you move on.

Battier is a cornerstone guy for Houston.  He's not going anywhere.

They just signed Ariza.  Battier and Ariza pretty much are the same guy except Battier is older.

...and Battier is a veteran leader and one of the best one on one defenders in the league.
