http://www.jsonline.com/sports/bucks/48566272.htmlFor now, the Bucks couldn't even dream of being in the Amare Stoudemire sweepstakes. They have neither the salary flexibility nor the players anyone would want in return. But they have to start moving in the direction that would put them in a position to become a player.
As general manager John Hammond said Thursday, "We have to have the financial means to become a consistently good team that will allow us to have the chance to become a great team." As presently constructed, they have no chance. The Bucks are paying $71 million, a top-15 payroll, for a team that won 34 games last year. That kind of crazy imbalance has to stop
"If we get ourselves out from under our financial situation, let's not put ourselves in that position again," Hammond said.
If it's true he is available, I would definitely want the Celtics to make a bid on him
Bos sends: Ray Allen, Walker or future 1st
Bos receives: Richard Jefferson, Dan Gadzuric
Why for Boston: Richard Jefferson is a very good young player. He can defend , go to the hoop and shoot the 3. He also has a lot of Playoff experience and has been to the NBA Finals 2 times already. He can definitely fit on this roster without disrupting the team chemistry.
Gazuric would have to be included for Salary reasons . It would give the Celtics a solid backup Center for Perk.
Boston Roster:PG: Rondo / Marbury( VET MIN)
SG: Jefferson / House
SF: PP / Grant Hill ( VET MIN)
PF: KG / McDyess ( LLE)
C: Perk / Gadzuric
Why for MilwaukeeMilwaukee get a lot of cap relief which is what they are looking for . By doing this trade the bucks would be saving 22 MIL in 2010-11 and would have about 21 MIL under the Salary cap to try and make a run at Amare Stoudemire
