Wow.  Why would Minnesota do this?  Amare is a good player, but Big Al is a much better rebounder and a much better classic post player.  I can *maybe* see a deal for Amare' straight up, but throwing in the #6, too?  Great trade for Phoenix, if this happens.

Now, let's trade Ray and Rondo to Phoenix for Big Al and Nash.  ;)

With McHale gone, I'd love to see Big Al get the heck out of there. That'd be a great upgrade for PHO.

personally, I don't see why MIN would do it. Isn't Amare gonna be outta there after next season?

wow.  If Al gets back to 100% and if that 6th pick turns out to be pretty good it's good returns for Amare.  TP for the link

totally.

let's just do it as a three way. If PHO was looking at Ray and Rondo for Amare, let's just skip the middle step and do it in one fell swoop.

here's the deal:

BOS gets: Big Al, #14

PHO gets: Ray, Rondo and #6

MIN gets: Amare

I don't think you would find a poster on this site that would rather have Amare than Big Al- nevermind throwing in a free #6 pick, to boot.

I really really hope Minnesota doesn't make this trade...even though I don't think it will make Minny that much worse, it will prevent their development by losing a high draft pick.

Great trade for Phoenix.

Kahn gives the impression that he's going to force something just to do something ... Minny fans should be worried about him.

Jefferson is a bad fit of a fast break offense. He is a post player with serious post moves, he belongs in a slower system.
Also Stoudamire, will bolt next year when he's a free agent. Don't really like the trade for Minnesota.

I guess I stand corrected.

Don't quite understand the logic or the analysis, but I respect your opinion.

Evantime, I'm not sure Phoenix is really running the fast break offense as much anymore...With D'Antoni gone and Nash aging, they are in need of a new identity.  I think adding Jefferson and the 6th pick would be an absolute steal for the Suns

I like having a post player on a run'n'gun team. It gives them a fallback option when they're forced into the halfcourt. Run when you can, and run the offense through the post player when you can't.

I think Al Jefferson will be a very good fit on a fastbreak Phoenix Suns team ... so long as he's the center.

yeah he seems a little erratic out of the gate....especially with his back-peddling on the "we won't draft someone who doesn't work out for us claim"...

One of the rumors is that Phoenix wants to get Delonte back in any Shaq deal with Cleveland.  It would be interesting to see Big Al and Delonte reunited in the desert.
