Maybe someone should right a book about all of his antics and PED use.

MLB Player = Steroids and Cheater

David Ortiz would probably be on vacation with Manny right now, if he had not stoped taking his stuff over the summer and was barely able to hit a ball out of the infield.

Honestly, I won't feel bad about the Sox' stake in all this until they find something on Big Papi.  Manny was a great player for a long time.  Big Papi came out of nowhere.

If they ever find Big Papi guilty...I'll be bummed.

This is just a case of Manny being Manly

Just heard this on ESPN -- apparently was broken by the LA times, and will be officially announced later today. Fun stuff.

Shocker... There is a player on Sox that better be careful although he seems pretty clean now.

Yeh, those Dodgers are nothing but cheating juicers  ;D

According to Peter May on ESPN, this wasn't a steroid issue.  He was given something to treat injury that violates the league substance abuse policy (which is incredibly strict) but it is NOT an Arod situation...

True enough.  But I reserve the right to tease Steve about his dirty Dodgers.

I pray nothing ever comes out on Big Papi..that would the only thing that would have me remove my signed world series photo of him in front of my desk. To say that would be a huge bummer, would be an understatement.

I have gotten to the point where if I see a sudden decline in players HR totals, I fear they are not taking anymore and if I see a sudden spike, I fear they are taking HGH.

This Manny thing is a huge blow to the Dodgers. Does he still get paid during suspension?

Sure is, BTB.

But fear not, Juan Pierre will be holdin' it down in the outfield!

Who else is excited for the possibility of Andre Ethier's OPS dropping 700 points in a week?

Wow.  Hadn't seen the 50 game suspension part til now.

Really this is the first case of a big start actually getting punished for this by MLB isn't it?

Yup

He's easily the biggest name caught and punished by MLB, no question about it. The previous biggest name was Palmeiro.

Jose Guillen, Mike Cameron, Matt Lawton, Jay Gibbons... Not quite on his level.

Here's a fun trivia question... 22 players have been suspended while on major league rosters. What 2 teams have the most punished cheaters?

I think this kinda sucks. As much as Manny has become an enemy to Boston fans, it makes people question our world series wins now...I also kinda thought he was not really the kinda guy to do this- even though that thought has been thrown out the window...geez
