  • Rondo = Good
Have to ask it, as silly as it might seem.  What do you think?

Edit - put all KG playing comments here.

Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I'll go with 10%. Then again I am not privy to any smiles by Ed Lacerte's daughter. ;)

I have to say none. If Garnett hypothetically can be used for one or two games only, I'd save him for Game 5 and Game 7 against Cleveland, if Cleveland can get by their next opponent(LOL).

I hope he doesn't.

I really think we can take this team in 6. Ray is off the chain, Rondo too fast 4 them , Pierce is still Pierce, and Perk does the best job on Howard than any player. Just need our bench to show up, this experience with bulls should help them especially Marbury.

I went less than 1% - if the c's didn't even suit him as a scare tactic in game 7, he's not suiting up against Orlando

I went 10% because I keep a little faith, but honestly I don't think KG will play before (and if) the Celtics reach the ECF.

Isn't the answer obvious? If he can play, they will let him. If he can't he can't. If he gets surgery, he 100% can't. If he waits on surgery, who knows?

If he doesn't end up playing, do you stop praying?

I am happy to have KG wait until the conference finals before he forces the issue.

10%, probably less but maybe closer to that than <1.

The real reason we've been hearing some mixed signals about the injury probably has to do with this (from ESPN preview):

"The Magic wrapped up their series against Philadelphia in six games on Thursday, and apparently have time to spare: They watched film of Garnett on Sunday, skeptical of whether the injured star is really out for the playoffs as the Celtics maintain."

Even if KG can't come back at all, we want it in the back of our opponents' heads that he could.  The more time they devote to planning for him, and the more uncertainty they have about a comeback, the better off we are.

I'm going with 50%.  I really don't think his knee is as bad at the C's say it is.  He obviously could play two months ago (and didn't look that bad).  I just think they're trying to see how far they can get without him first so that they can preserve his leg.  I think they'll try it without him, but if it goes to a game 7, I wouldn't be shocked to see him go.  I really think they're hoping to save him and get him as healthy as possible for Cleveland.
