We will know when KG points at his watch  :P  In all seriousness I like that there is still hope. Stranger things have happened, so I leave the porch light on in this case. If he does come back, obviously his knee won't be 100%, but the rest of him will be well rested, which is a bonus. Personally I think if we make it let's say to gm 7 versus Cleveland, he plays. Possibly with a bloody sock knee pad. :)

I personally think KG comes back if we win this series. But maybe that is just the hope in me.

GO KG! GO CELTICS!

I think he will come back for the ECF, as well.  They may start the series off without him, but if Boston gets in a quick 1-0, 2-0 hole, I think he will return.  That is my 2 cents.

Is this meaningless or significant that he addressed KG's status/condition/timetable after saying that he won't be playing at all this postseason.

I'm thinking if he said KG wasn't going to play at all this postseason then why revisit the issue/idea at all?

Perhaps he was just annoyingly asked by a media member...?

Thoughts?

Quote
Celtics president Danny Ainge says that forward Kevin Garnett's rehabilitation from a knee injury is "going well."

When asked if Garnett is improving, Ainge said, "I don't know. I don't know what that means. No surgery set. But nothing's changed. We still are not planning on him playing."

How can his rehabilitation be going well if he isn't going to play and since he hasn't had surgery? It seems paradoxical to me. ???

Well, if he gets surgery then the season's clearly over whereas holding out for possible single game entry, in the ECF, is a hedge bet. And realize, anything to keep the Cav's guessing is worth it.

Well you can minimize bone spurs without invasive surgery.

Not sure if that has anything to do with his "rehab" though.

Reading between the lines, my read is that his return is 50/50. There must be some improvement if he hasn't had the surgery yet.

Doubletalk from Ainge.  KG should have had the surgery a month ago.

Seriously,at this point he better come back, otherwise a solid month of surgery recovery would have been completely wasted.  Regardless, he's gonna be mad rusty...

I agree he will be rusty on the offensive end, however, where we need him is on the defensive end as well as for ball movement on the offensive end. We *should* be ok with KG being rusty because he brings so much in other aspects of the game.

Would love to see Steph and KG run the pick & roll. I'd totally take the production KG gave when he first came back from his injury. And if he's willing, a 2nd unit of Steph, House, Ray or Paul, Scal and KG would be NASTY
